Chapter 1

I groaned as I woke up, my face buried in my large plush pillows as the sun beamed through my curtains which lit up my room red, my ears picked up footsteps outside my bedroom door, God another day of school- please don’t wake me up, please don’t wake me up-

“Amethyst wake up.” Fuck sake.

Let me get this going, my name Amethyst Jace Tyler-AJ for short, I’m 18 years old and the alpha of Lunar Crescent pack. My dad stepped down from his Alpha position when I first shifted which was about two years ago, it is my birth right to be Alpha, I’m the first born then followed by three brothers- I ran the pack level headed, I guess you could say I had a perfect life, well apart from my other half, my mate.

The moon Goddess gifts us with a mate by the age of 16- that’s when she believes we have matured enough to settle down, almost everyone I knew had found their mate except me. Last year I went a little down hill, I lost my virginity and I hated myself for it- I was saving myself for my mate but I got drunk (which is quite hard for us) and slept with a friend. Apart from that I killed any rouge or vampire I came in contact with, but I got set straight a couple months back.

Other than that I got treated with the upmost respect, I was popular at school with both the human and wolf population, I knew I was good looking- all werewolves were but I was told I was different. My hair was black as night which flowed all the way down to my back, my skin was really tan and I got my name due to my eye colour, my eyes were purple and if you weren’t a supernatural you would think I was wearing contacts. Every feature of my body made be stand out in the best possible ways, I had guys falling to my feet and girls always gave me evils but they knew not to say anything.

Getting up I quickly got dressed after taking a shower, I threw on a high waisted skirt with a white tank top with the words ‘eyes up here’, I completed the look with my leather jacket and studded heels. I skipped down the stairs to be greeted with my pack mates, I got a series of ‘Good morning Alpha’.

“I don’t understand how you always look so good, I mean it takes me a good hour to look as half as good as you.” Aaliyah said as she scoffed down the rest of her cereal, Aaliyah is my best friend and the beta female, she was mated to my beta and male best friend Conner. I was taller than most females but Aaliyah almost caught up to me, the only other female I was ever jealous of was her, she had smooth milk chocolate skin with a ginger pixie cut hair style. Even though Aaliyah was tall Conner was taller, they fit perfectly together.

I craved that so much.

“Aaliyah I have told you and I will tell you again, you are the only she-wolf that I will ever be jealous of. Your fucking gorgeous and if my Beta wasn’t your mate and if I loved that way I would have claimed you myself.” I snickered out as I shoved the rest of my omelette in my mouth, I heard a low growl emit from Conner’s throat I just threw a wink at him.

After we all finished our breakfast we made our way to school, everyone else had cars but me being me I rode to school on my BMW G310GS, pulling out of the drive I made my way to school thinking of what this new school year could bring as I sped and weaved through traffic. Our school was in neutral territory so other packs and humans attended the school, along with vampires.

The myth was that vampires and werewolves didn’t get along but that was only half true, rouge vampires were just as bad as rouge werewolves. If a vampire didn’t belong to a coven or threatened packs safety they would be killed.

I entered the school hallway with my closet pack members flocking me, with my werewolf hearing I picked up whispers that floated along the hallway, some words caught my interest- my name came up a couple of times but something caught my attention.

New guy, hmm new student right in the middle of senior year. I didn’t even realise that I had made my way other to my locker, I punched in the code with Aaliyah by my side.

“You think new guy is human?”

“We don’t get anymore humans here so I doubt it, our year is the only year left that still contains humans.” It was true even though the school was on neutral land it consisted of more supernaturals than humans, the air around us changed which alerted both me and my wolf but I slowly eased when I realised it was Hunter.

“Hello gorgeous.” Hunter Black was gorgeous, he was a 100 year old vampire in a 18 year old body but apart from that he was a gorgeous piece of meat and I’m glad to say that I had hit that.

“Hunter, I know your part of a coven so I don’t have a reason to kill you but your stench makes me want to cut out my intestines and shove them up my nose.” Aaliyah grunted, Vampires don’t have a natural scent like us wolves but they often reek of blood, she just didn’t like Hunter that much because he was a vampire and hit on her numerous of times.

I rolled my eyes at their bickering before making my way to the principles office, as Alpha I had a duty to make sure that every werewolf here was obeying the rules. We had to keep our anger under control in case our wolves took control and forcefully shifted in front of the humans.

“Good morning Mr. Taylor.” I smiled looking around his office.

“Good morning Alpha.”

I have everything, I have respect from the highest authority in school, I had a great pack but the one thing that I missed, the one thing that I would kill for is my mate.

I needed my happily ever after,

Only he could grant me that.
