The Nature of Reality

There are a great many things that should be said before any should read the following pages. Unfortunately, they cannot all be explained as well as they should be, due to the limitations of language and the inability of most minds to even comprehend the content of the explanations. But, despite this, an attempt should be made.

A great deal of accepted reality is nothing but tales told to each other in well lit rooms. But that does not make it any less real. The modernisation and acceptance of scientific principles is an excellent step forward to better comprehension of the realities of our existence. Unfortunately, it has meant that many of your people have forgotten certain aspects of reality, which despite having been maintained by centuries of tradition as true, and subsequently dismissed by modern science, are in fact, devastatingly true. Gods exist. Magic exists. Fantastic creatures from myth exist not only in our minds and dreams, but also wandering the universe. Souls exist, conscious embodiments of beings that are simultaneous to the physical, and with sufficient power, are able to interact with it.

Humanity did arise upon the surface of Planet Earth. That much is true. But the timescale of your existence is vastly different to the accepted consensus. Humans have existed, in their modern forms, closer to 1.2 billion years than to 1.2 million. The reason for this discrepancy is a complex tale, that should be reserved for another to tell. However, in a short summary, humans are not the only humanoid and conscious organisms in the universe. The body-type is an advantageous one when dealing with magic, and thus the true powers of the universe, since with hands unoccupied with movement, and the growth of the cerebral power of the brain as bipedal bodies evolve, magic becomes accessible. Humanity, though not the smartest, nor the most powerful, group of humanoids in the universe, are perhaps the most adaptable. Thus, 1.2005 billion years ago, a group of mer, the term for those who are not part of the human race, collected an exploratory population of human beings. This population of humans was the only one to survive the largest extinction event on the Earth’s surface, and following it, due to the limited resources and high oxygen environment, evolution had to begin from scratch again on Earth. Mammalians, and thus humans, were not the dominant group as they had been in the previous round of evolutionary bounds. So it took more than a billion years for the correct environment to be regained on the planet Earth, with the dominance of mammalian species reestablished, and thus the evolution of primitive man to restart.

The exploratory population exploded across the stars, but due to the intervention of Gods and mer, they forgot their origins on Earth. This lead to a massive amount of history that could not be comprehended nor summarised. However, 70,000 years ago, when the variation of your species had grown similar enough to breed with the nearest population of humans descended from the Originals, the introduction was made between the most primitive tribes of that planet, and the new human population on Earth. This allowed the advancement of Homo Sapiens to the dominant species on the Planet Earth. Further intervention was prevented by the Titans, but humanity on Earth has now once again reached the precipice of interaction between you and the Gods and mer of the universe.

On this precipice, that is nearly always reached by conscious species, there are certain warnings that must be provided to the leaders of the population, in order to prevent too many catastrophic interactions. The following pages detail just a few of these, with a focus on the Craftsman. This was chosen as the most relevant and necessary warning that needed to be made for Earth’s current culture. Other tales will be made available to any who request them. There is an interlude included that was written by a variation of mer whose culture focused on the collection of such tales, and it was included as a point of interest. All the warnings have been written as dramatic pieces, in order to ensure the full comprehension of them.
