I woke up to the sound of banging on my apartment door. I reached for my phone and checked the time. It was 5:37, way too early for anybody to be complaining about my music that I listened to at night. I got up, my ears and tail were sore from being curled up on the small bed.
I walked over to the door, and opened it to see my landlord. "What is it?" I asked, not wanting to waste my time with formal introductions. She looked at me sternly, "I have to kick you out of the apartment building, I have gotten too many complaints about your music." I looked up at her. I couldn't possibly be kicked out, since this was the only place that I could afford in the city. "You have 4 hours to pack, then I want you out of my building," she told me, walking out of the room and shutting the door behind her. "Great, just great," I mumbled to myself, looking around my room. Well, I guess I might as well start packing.
I tugged the last of my posters off the wall, rolling them up and shoving them in a box with the rest of my decor. Looking around, I decided that I would spend my last moments trying to find a place to stay. I sat down on the bed that the apartment owner had let me use (since I couldn't afford my own at the time) and pulled out my phone.
After scrolling through a few homes in the city that I couldn't afford, I decided to look for a home in a nearby town called Phoenix Drop. Just my luck, there was only one house I could afford that was on sale. It was on Mystreet, so I was curious. I bought the house, and rented a moving van. I would finally have a place of my own.
