Summary

What happens when she's told the person keeping her safe from the world is the very person that she should be saved from? Emalyn is a young woman who has been sheltered for the last ten years. With her eighteenth birthday, fast approaching strange dreams haunt her at night. Mixed with the horrific incident that still plagues her from her childhood, her feelings of wanting to explore more than just her aunt's house get stronger each week. The HE saw her walking home from a cafe one day. He knew by the glow in her eyes that she wasn't normal, and there was something else about her that he couldn't pinpoint. The only thing he could reason with his other half was to watch her for the next few weeks. He watched her outside her window, watched her escape her house each Sunday. But he could sense something was very wrong with her.

Prologue

The sound of water dripping woke the seven-year-old Emalyn from her sleep. Coming to her senses, she looked around her to see she was in the same cold and wet room she had been in for days now. She was laid on a fleece blanket, but that did nothing to provide her with any warmth being there for so long now.

Being the daughter of one of the most feared Alpha’s in America meant that there were often threats that they had to take immediate actions against. They had no time to move to the safe house, so Emalyn was hidden in the cellar of the house.

Just as she woke, the door opened and in stepped her father and aunt Marlene. Marlene’s eyes were glowing purple, and her hand produced a glowing light which illuminated in her palm. Emalyn’s bright eyes were filled with tears; she stood up and looked at her family.

“Daddy, is it safe to come out yet?” She choked on a sob as she ran over to hug her father tightly.

He turned his cold gaze down to look at her, and he grabbed her long hair and slung her against the wall, which emitted a pained scream from her. “Dad, what’re you doing?” She sobbed as she clutched her head that had hit the wall.

“You don’t deserve to live after what happened to your mother,” his wild eyes were black.

His hands came crashing down onto her head, and Emalyn saw stars after that. Having her parent’s strong genes, she, unfortunately, didn’t pass out and clutched her bleeding eye.

“D-daddy, please don’t…” Emalyn pleaded with him and pushed further away from him. She didn’t understand what was happening. He was always loving and gentle with her.

“Listen to me, witch,” he seethed the word as he drove his foot into her ribs. Emalyn coughed up blood, and under his foot, her bones were cracking and breaking.

“It should’ve been you who died, not Evan. Everything is your fault!” He kneeled and brought his fists down on her over, and over until she was laying on the ground. Unconscious and dying.

Getting from his feet, he wiped his hand over his sweaty brown, turning his head, he looked back at his sister-in-law. His black eyes glimmered in the light over the doorway, focusing on the woman standing there.

“Dan, she’s dying!” Her voice shrieked, and she moved past him to kneel next to her.

My Blacksmith Savior

Vampire: Great story. Clear plot line and very interesting. Characters are lovely and well made. Amazing writing skills and grammar. Only thing that was a little bit too much is the repetition but I guess it's a writing style? Anyways I love it definitely recommend it!
