Prologue

The Reynolds Pamphlet (a book on the affair by Alexander Hamilton) was published in 1797.

The affair happened for one year from 1791-1792

***A/N: Alexander Hamilton’s birth year is unclear in some situations. I will use the age I believe is the correct one because of my research. Facts say that this is his true age. He was born either in 1755 or 1757. Eliza was born in 1757, making her either two years younger or the same age as him. So, for the purposes of the story, he will be born in 1755 to be two years older than Eliza.

Ages of everyone in the story:

Alexander Hamilton- 42 the affair happened when he was 36, six years prior

Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton- 40, the affair happened when she was 34

Philip Hamilton-15, 9 when the affair happened

Angelica Hamilton- 13, 7 when the affair happened

Alexander Hamilton Jr.- 11, 5 when the affair happened

James Alexander Hamilton- 9, 3 when the affair happened

John Church Hamilton- 5, Eliza was pregnant with him when the affair happened

William S. Hamilton- Pregnant with him as the affair is brought to light

Maria Reynolds- 29, 23 when the affair happened

Susan Reynolds- 12, 6 when the affair happened

Angelica Schuyler Church- 41, 35 when the affair happened

John Barker Church- 49, 43 when the affair happened

***Final children of Alexander and Elizabeth Hamilton are Eliza Hamilton (born in 1799) and Philip Hamilton II (born in 1802). They will be featured in later chapters.

"Alexander, what have you done?" I screamed. He hung his head and looked away. Tears were streaming down my pale face. I was betrayed. This affair had happened six years ago but I was only hearing about it now. “I am so sorry, My Besty.” He said.

"I will be going to my parents, while I clear my mind," I said. The look on his face was clear that he was hurt. It almost made me want to delay my travels, but then I remembered the pain he had caused me, our children and most of all Maria Reynolds.

She had caused this mess. "I will be leaving soon. Good day, Alexander." I said, curtly. I left our house, left the room we had made ours, and left him there. I went into town, hoping to find some peace.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
