What if.... Ban and Annabeth met?

Her blonde hair, that just fell out of the high ponytail Annabeth Chase usually had her hair in, hit her shoulders. She was covered in dust and scars from head to toe, and sweat dripped from her forehead. She breathed heavy. Her stormy grey eyes danced around, no doubt studying her surroundings. Finally, she gave a sigh of relief. The monsters are gone. She thought. She heard a twig snap and turned around, hand on the hilt of her dagger in its holder. There was a guy only a much taller than Annabeth standing there. His hair was a pale blue, his eyes red as his outfit (which Annabeth was not fond of.) "Who are you?" She asked her fingers wrapping themselves on her dagger. "Tell me your name!" She added. The man smiled. "You can call me Ban. And who are you, kid?" She glared at him. "Don't call me kid. And why should I give you my name?" She asked. She was stressed and a bit on edge, as all of her friends either did not want to, or were on their own quest and couldn't help her. "Nameless? Kid it is then." Ban smiled. She grunted, rolled her eyes, and slipped out her blade just an inch, she didn't trust him one bit. "Annabeth. Annabeth Chase." "Okay then, kid." He responded. "Don't call me kid." Annabeth repeated.

Suddenly a swarm of monsters began to run toward the two. Cyclops, Minotaurs, you name it. "Great!" Annabeth cursed under her breath. "More stupid monsters!" She said. Ban gripped a silver thing from his pocket, a nun chuck looking thing. Annabeth pulled her celestial bronze dagger from its hilt. It, of course, was also covered in dust. She put the hilt in her mouth and bit down- making sure her lips and toungue weren't touching it and tied her hair up. But, the grey strand of hair she and her boyfriend, Percy Jackson, had gotten when she was fourteen somehow found a way out. She took off the sweater she was wearing and tied it around her waist, showing her orange camp half blood shirt. "I swear if I make it, I'm never going on a quest again unless it's important." She said. The monsters grew closer every second.

Until the first row were closed enough for Annabeth to get to without wasting all of her energy on running, just to reach the monsters. She slashed as soon as the first one came running, and was right in front of her. The dagger ran through the Cyclops like it was water, and poof! It was dust.

Don't run, don't run, don't run. She repeated in her head. Until, "go." She told herself and ran toward the monsters. She heard Ban say something weird. It sounded like "hunter fest." She turned. Now, Ban was more muscular than before, and he was easily killing the monsters with one or two punches. "How in Hades?!" She said aloud. She assumed he was mortal at first but now was unsure. "Mortals don't just get more muscular like that!" She said aloud, although she had not meant to. Ban looked at her. "Sure they could. I could before I became immortal." He said. "What?" She said confused. "Look, I've seen the most mortals can do. And they cannot do whatever you just did." She said. But before she could say anything else another monster came, and she (obviously) did the smart thing and attacked it. It jabbed her in the arm and a rush of pain went through her body. She stabbed it dead and looked at her blood covered arm. "Holy Hera! That's bad." She said. She grabbed her bag and hurried to find the ambrosia. When she finally did the left side where she had been stabbed, was covered in blood. "C'mon stay alive Chase." She told herself. She ate the orange-yellow jellow cube in one gulp. She drank only a sip of Nectar, not wanting to burst into flames, and her entire water bottle.

Hours and hours of fighting went on until the last monster was killed, and it was night. "Well it was... Nice, meeting you." Annabeth said, and turned to face the pale blue haired guy. "Where in Hades did you learn to fight like that?" She asked. And are you secretly Ares? She thought, but decided not to ask. "Heh, let's say I've been through a lot, Annabeth." He said. She nodded as if she understood, but still so many thoughts and questions ran through her mind. "So have I." She said finally. "I'm pretty sure we have some very different stories though." She added, and turned to leave back to camp now that she had retrieved the artifact Hera wanted.

And that would be the last they saw of each other for a very long time.
