Dawn

As I laid in my bed fast asleep,my alarm goes off.I open my eyes sleepily,and groan annoyed.I sat up,and put my feet on the floor.The hard wood floor’s felt cold and smooth.I gave a shiver that ran threw my body.I walked to my closet,and picked out some clothes.I picked out a red plaid shirt and ragged jeans.

I walked out my bedroom to see my little brother playing on the hallway floor.He was playing with the blocks,and toy car that mom had got him for his birthday.My brother jumps up and gets on is wobbly,fat legs and try’s to walk towards me.He’s only one years old,he said, “sissy!” and he laughed.As he got somewhat close to me he fell,I gave him a amused chuckle.I walked to him,picked him up and walked him to the living room.I sat him down in his crib and went to go a collect his toys.

My hands where filled with toy cars,and stuffed animals that were wet with his drool.I dumped the toys into his crib,Alex seemed pleased.

I walked out the living room , and outside. My mom was standing on the front porch.

“good morning dear,did you sleep well?” my mom said

“good morning,yes mom I did..“I said “Alex is in his crib.”

She nodded.She grabbed my hand and practically dragged me to the stables.She seemed excited.When we arrived at the stables.She took me to Smoke’s stall,and said

“get a horse,we’re going to the pasture”

I ran to Blue one our prized horses,he’s won almost every race he has entered.

We trotted out the stables,the horses hooves patted the ground.the distance between the stables and the pasture was not long.By the time we go there, I saw a brown and light brown,with a white diamond on its for-head.It acted trapped,like it had never seen a human before.I jumped off the horse I was on,and ran to the fence.

“mom?whose horse is this?”

Her reply was shocking,

“she’s yours” she said

My mouth dropped.I was happy but shocked.
