-CHAPTER ONE-

-LEILAH POV-

Stumbling through the cold, dark tunnel from the abyss looking up into the iridescent world that awaited her after all these years, a mixture of blue and purple littered the starry night sky. Leilah didn’t know where she was or how she got there after all she had been down there for years; it was all a blur but as she closed her eyes she remembers two black beady eyes almost as dark as his soul, giving the devil a run for his money staring straight at her. The image was gone as quickly as it came, she knew this man meant something to her something bad, something her wolf Aera didn’t want her to know.

This must be her wolfs doing she thought as she stumbled her way up the hill into the forest tripping on rocks as she goes. Aera was a kind wolf in that way, throughout her ‘stay’ with him she would protect her as much as she could by taking her pain away. Although nothing could be done about the emotional pain Leilah had to deal with on a daily basis, but Aera withheld some memories from her which Leilah was grateful for, whatever it was (which seemed to be linked with how Leilah escaped him) Leilah never wanted to find out again. But she did remember the pain and words he said to her however the motive remains unknown.

She hasn’t heard from Aera in a while and was starting to worry, had the silver she had been tied down by for so long do what he wanted it to do, to rid her of her wolf so they could be ‘together forever’ as he so often liked to remind her; so that she would never meet her true mate and leave him. She shivered in disgust at the very thought of it.

The Moon Goddess blessed wolves with a mate for a reason, the other half of a wolfs soul that was made specifically for them, oh how she wished her mate would take her away from the horrors she endured with him for years. She would lie awake shaking in the coold cage he kept her in waiting for the day her mate would take her away...that day never came. She supposed it was true what he said to her as he littered her body with scars, no one will ever love her. She was broken beyond repair and no one could fix her.

she was broken out of her thoughts as she felt a new aura surrounding her, she had made it out of his territory but had entered another. she was a rogue someone will come after her. Not again she thought.

She didnt wait another moment as she went bounding into the deep dark forest with one word in mind- escape. whether that meant escape from him or the new threat that arised she did not know, all she knew was she could never truly escape the horrors that plagued her mind every minuite of every day. With inhuman speed she possessed with the help of her wolf she weaved her way through the trees while feeling a presence lurking in the woods adding to the terror she felt from escaping him. Little did she know that presence would change her life as she knew it, but would it be a good change or a bad one.
