My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (first book)

Opening the front doors I walk into the colorful wall ways of Canterlot high school. I make my way to my locker dodging footballs, baseballs, and tennis balls as I pass all my friends. “Yo Dash practice tonight?” I nod my head and give her the thumbs up “Bring your A game and no complaining this time I’m working you to the bone tonight” she gulps nervously as I walk away.Being the captain of every sports team in the school was tough but the teachers gave me a break since we were second best in every sport. I mean it’s not my fault the Shadow Bolts are a lot better than us! And with all the research I’ve done we’ve never won against them but that was beside the point right now I had one mission and one mission only. Taking down Apple Jack in a cider drinking contest.

After dropping off my bag in my locker I bolt it to the gym where Apple Jack was unloading crates of apple cider with her brother Big Mac. I smirk when she notices me “You’re going down” she laughs lifting her hat to look at me more clearly “In your dreams Dash” we walk over to each other meeting the other in the middle of the gym. Mac brings up a crate and opens every bottle then splits the crate in two giving us both the same amount of bottles. “On 3,” he says “1, 2, 3!”

Pinkie Pie’s POV

I walk into the gym rolling my eyes as I watch Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash downing their cider. I skip over to Big Mac “Hope you left some cider for me!” I say cheerfully he hands me a bottle and I drink it happily “Hummy!!” he smiles shyly before walking away to unload more crates. The two girls in front of me glaring at me “What?” I ask then realize I wave my hand “Never mind” I walk away but feel no different. Friends grow apart all the time I’m sure.

I happily skip down the hall looking for my first class. I always wander the halls before class in case someone was in need of cheering up and not to my surprise I spot someone curled in a corner crying. “What so glum chum?” he looks up at me “Sun-sun set,” he says sobbing smile at him sympathetically “well whatever she said I’m sure wasn’t true! Now come on let’s see you smile” when he still doesn’t crack a smile I make my most silly face and he starts laughing instantly.

Fluttershy’s POV

I frown as I watch Pinkie make some boy laugh I wondered what happened to make her change. When they were friends she was the same but one day Pinkie had decided to.... well it was over now and I had new friends. Friends who didn’t talk to me but keep quiet. Then again they couldn’t talk since they were animals. I open my bag smiling down at it “I know you hate being in my bag but it’s better than being in my locker.” I pet my best friend Angel on the head before continue walking down the hall.

When Pinkie sees me she scowls and I turn my attention to my feet not wanting to see her hostile gaze. I feel myself run into something hard “sorry” I apologize looking up at the wall I had just run into. I hear Pinkie Pie’s laughter behind me and run off to my class covering my rosy cheeks as a tear falls from my eye.
