Prologue

It all happened so fast, the apocalypse seemed better than this. Me and Antasia were still struggling with the ways of life but we mastered the skills of finding goods and handling knives. Wherever you turn there's sure to be an infected human who was longing to have a good life. You could truly see the pain in their eyes still, but also the bright white glaze over their eyes. Lifeless but still filled with personality. Some people look for the cure, while Anastasia and I just like to kill them. Once you're infected you're most likely incurable. I have my own rules in this hell worn world and they are..

1. Don't play with your prey.

2. Don't sleep on the ground.

3. If you or friend get bit or look at the moon, put out of misery ASAP.

4. At night make sure to wear a blindfold and sleep in trees if there are no metallic safehouses.

5. Trust no one but yourself.

Most people say my rules are stupid, but now they're infected so I beg to differ. Life gets tough but nothing is impossible, except licking your elbow. That's definitely impossible. I've tried so many times, I don't even think a Virus can do it with their long ass tongues.

Now when you live by these rules, you live longer than others and it's a fact. So if you happen to be in this situation. Good luck and just remember the five rules. My diary will hopefully be found when or if I die. Antasia and I have been looking for other survivors but sadly, they all seemed to have perished in Alabama. We decided to go to travel through Georgia a bit but that won't be possible until we get more supplies, maybe even a bigger vehicle. At least bigger than an old mustang. Antasia had her musty-ang for three years but it's been passed down starting with her Grandpa, then her father, then her brother, and it will probably stay with her until she can find any of her family. She's still longing to see Joseph and I don't blame her. It's been 2 years since she's seen him and what if he's.. I don't like saying it. Anyway, we need to get going soon so Reed Quinn is out.
