Cristal is one of my best friends
we have been friends since 2011
At the moment i was just
Weeks from arriving from my homeland
Dominican republic
Me and cristal met each other
In cafeteria
Funny right
It turned out to be that me and cristal
For somehow end up in the same middle school
It was our first day of school
We all have an exact time to come in
And of course i was late for my first day
Since i was a new student
I needed to get my ID, and metrocard
Basically i got there at the same time
As we had lunch
They put me into the same table she was
For some coincidence she was sitting
In front of me and she looked at me
I looked at her
I was a very shy little girl
I never liked too talk that much
She talked to me first her first words were
“No tenga miedo muchacha”
Which in english means “don't be afraid girl”
Since that day
I knew we were going to be more than friends
We know each other since 7 years already
We still have the same connection
Same as when we first meet
Her family is my family
My family is her family
She might not be my blood sister
But she's my sister from my other mom
When I expressed myself about her
I have a lot of ways of describing our friendship
