The Mad Queen

Eight of the strongest beings to the world stood in a circle as side by side they bound themselves to one another. Four girls and Four boys. They had meet each other on travels and after finding out together who they are really were. It brought them all close to one another and no one was to know they even knew each other.

In the center of the circle stood a wooden bowl and eight cups. A ritual dagger sat on the stone as the eight of them stood in the center of the deserted Elven Forest.

An Elf. A Werewolf. A Vampire. A Wiccan. A Siren. A Fae. A Trickster. Finally a Warrior to witness and protect.

"Are you ready?" The Elf asked looking each of them in the eye; "This is your last chance to back out and walk away. No one will feel differently about you if you do so now."

Each being gave their affirmative and although they were all considered young to their respective race; they knew what they were doing. They had gone through eight different trials already to test their companionship and loyalty to one another.

The Elf stepped forward and took the knife and with a deep breath cut a wound into her wrist and let her blood drip into the bowl. Enough blood to fill the cups and a little extra to give to Mother Magic herself. One by one each of the beings followed her lead and did the same.

When the bowl was filled it was time for each of them to select a personal item to be a talisman that would work as a way of summoning each other when the time came.

A ring; a sapphire stone; a rare coin;a scale;a madeline; a ruby;a playing card; and a sword hilt were all placed inside the wooden bowl.

With one final breath the Elf spoke the words that would bind them forever.

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to create this bond with only the intent of good and family. I will become the Mad Queen and will only call upon my brothers and sisters when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I will be a sister and caretaker and friend. In the great power of four I bind myself to thee seven; Four sisters and a brother for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul."

The werewolf was the first to step forward and make her oath;

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to create this bond with only the intent of good and family. I will become the Queen of the Wolves that my family rules and will only call upon my brothers and sisters when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I shall be a sister and protector and informant. In the great power of four I bind myself to thee seven; Four sisters and a brother for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul."

The Vampire stood forward and smiled as he spoke;

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to create this bond with only the intent of good and family. I will become the King Assassin of my kind and will only call upon my brothers and sisters when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I shall be a brother; protector and killer. In the great power of four I bind myself to thee seven; Four sisters and a brother for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul."

The Siren stepped up and sang;

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to create this bond with only the intent of good and family. I will become the Leader of my people and will only call upon my brothers and sisters when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I shall be brother; protector and watcher. In the power of four I bind myself to thee seven; Four sisters and a brother for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul."

The Wiccan walked forward and with voice of sway spoke;

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to create this bond with only the intent of good and family. I will be the Coven Leader of the Witches half and will only call upon my brothers and sisters when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I shall be sister; protector and healer. In the power of four I bind myself to thee seven; Four sisters and a brothers for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul."

The beautiful Fae gilded forward and his voice was like honey as he made his vow,

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to create this bond with only the intent of good and family. I will be the Ruler in my Mother's place of all Fae and will only call upon my brothers and sisters when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I shall be brother and protector and mastery of technician. Four sisters and a brother for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul. "

Unable to hide his true self the Trickster skipped forward and with a playful but serious manner spoke his vow;

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to create this bind with only intent of good and family. I will be forever the Clever and Cunning and will only call upon my brothers and sisters when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I shall be brother; protector and thief. Four sisters and a brother for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul."

The last to take a stand was the almighty Warrior and she did so without any hesitation;

"Blood of my blood and bound to my soul I swear to take this vow with inly the intent of good and family. I will be the Warrior at her side and will only call upon my brothers and sister when it is time for the Mad Queen to rise and take power. I shall be sister; protector and warrior. Four sisters and a brother for each sister. I swear it in blood and on my soul."

The wind blew violently as their words made way to a powerful and unbreakable vow. They watched transfixed as the blood in the bowl with their talismans began to bubble and then each talisman flew into the hands of its respective being it represented. Except it added a ninth talisman to the collection and the blood mixed together to create a rose.

A rose now sat in the bowl that had been filled with their blood, The rose was blood red and bleeding and the juices it dripped fell into each of the eight cups. To complete the bond they each took a deep drink from their cups and the bleeding rose encased itself in a tree sap and burned with the final energy of their bond.

The rose then broke into eight equal pieces and they each took one with them. With the bond created and their vow sworn to one another. The magic hummed and with a whoosh flew into each person knocking them all backwards.

"The bond is sealed and seeded."

"Now we go back to our normal lives until the time is right."
