The Sinking Heart
How can a blood pumping
self-contained thumping heart
feel so many emotions,
It makes you lose all notions.
Drives itself to an ocean.
an ocean with a bottomless pit.
In which it sinks.
Sinks into the darkness
depts of loneliness
depts of hopelessness
With every passionate thought, and every touch
it leaves it caught, stranded and clogged.
Stuck between uncertainty, regret, and insanity.
Is lost. and drowning.
with the hope of becoming
what it once was.
Lost in the ocean, there is still hope.
and in the most unexpected of times,
it finds a helping home.
A home the soothes the soul and heart,
which is there, no matter what.
but it knows the home is not his and has to leave,
It knows well to be careful of the home
because it won't be there for much more.
Setting his way back into the ocean
knowing he might never come back
he says goodbye
without ever comprehending
the hurt his doing while drinking,
and sinking.
into the ocean.
