Chapter 1

My alarm started blaring making me groan, I grabbed the arm that was gripped around my neck and pried it off of me, then I snatched up the identical set of arms that were wrapped around my stomach. I sat up and laughed at my two best friends. Their light brown hair brushed over their perfectly identical faces, drool dripped down their lips.

0

"Wakey, wakey, eggs, and bakey," I said as I shook their shoulders gently. "We're going to be late for our last day of school." One of the girls mumbled a curse word making me giggle. I started jumping up and down on the bed, earning a growl and a pillow to the face. "Don't make me get the ice water again." Expectedly that made both girls shoot up out of my bed.

0

"You better not Arianna!" Elara and Saraphina said in unison, growling.

0

"Well good morning sunshine, the Earth says hello." I giggled at them.

0

"What the hell Ari?" Elara growled morning people The twins were not.

0

"We need to get ready for the last day of school," I repeated. For werewolves school consisted of training for battle or, if you show other skills, like me, you hone your special abilities. I had what was known as a prophet's eye (One of my wolf's eyes is blue and the other is gold), which meant that I could see the past and the future.

0

"You just want to see Jeremy before he goes back to his pack," Saraphina said, wiggling her eyebrows causing my cheeks to flush red.

0

"Shut up," I said as I made my way to the bathroom to take a shower.

0

The twins and I have been friends since we were six. They were the children of my father's beta, and my father is the alpha of our pack, and king of all of North and some of South America. We've spent most of our lives together and I couldn't imagine the day that we were separated.

0

As I got out of the shower I threw my robe on, I like to mostly air dry, and took my position at the vanity. My skin was flawless so there was no need to put any foundation on. My eyebrows were also perfect but they were a little thin so I filled them in slightly, being sure to match the natural color perfectly. I then applied a light smokey look with a faint wing. I curled my eyelashes a little with the curler. There was no need for mascara, good genes, and all that. I grabbed my Origins Flower Fusion Hydrating Lip Color, it was a Snapdragon occasion.

0

I then stood up, I will wear my hair down today, I thought smiling. I glanced in the mirror one last time, noticing how my eyes glowed slightly, my wolf peering at my human form. I walked into my walk-in closet and grabbed my white polka-dotted dress, some black tights, and my signature leather jacket. I paired it with some black high heel boots.

0

I walked out of my huge spa-style bathroom and back into my huge bedroom. The twins whistled at me making me do an exaggerated twirl and curtsey.

0

"Damn, Ari you look hot," El said as she got up to admire my style.

0

"Yeah, Jeremy's not going to be able to keep his hands off you." Saraphina joked, I swatted at her.

0

I noted that they had gone back to their room and gotten ready as I was. They wore the same thing, loving how it confuses people on which twin is which. They wore black skater dresses with their own leather jackets and high heel boots. I smiled at the coordination of our looks.

0

"Let's rock this bitch!" I said as I grabbed my car keys off of my dresser.

0

We made quick work of getting downstairs, stopping in the kitchen where my mom was discussing a few business technicals with my Aunt Amelia.

0

"Good morning Mom," I said while grabbing an apple, taking a bite I enjoyed the juices that poured into my mouth.

0

"Morning Ari, hey can you take your brother to school with you?" It was more of a command than a question.

0

"Of course Mom. Where's dad?"

0

She sighed, "Discussing somethings with the second beta in his office."

0

"Oh, what's going on?" I asked confused, my brother and I normally attend meetings. Grooming us to take over.

0

"It's best if your father tells you." She said slowly, "he'll tell you after school. Hurry now you'll be late."

0

"Kade, come on we need to go," I called. A few minutes later he came clomping down the stairs. My brother just had his 12th birthday and was already almost taller than me. He hadn't had his first shift yet, which had been concerning at first. His grandmother, Nickolaus's mother, had hunter's blood in her. And in certain family lines that manifested special abilities when they turned 21. When Dad's mother first manifested her abilities, she also finally had her first shift. Her name was Amora.

0

"You look beautiful today." He said he was a kind gentle boy until you pissed him off. He got his hot temper from both his parents. My dad isn't my biological father but he still treated me as such.

0

"Thank you, kind sir. Come twins we must take our leave." I said in a mock British accent earning some chuckles from my brother, it was our inside joke. My brother took up our dad's Irish accent and thought it was funny when I tried to imitate it.

0

We all piled into my 2009 Mazda Rx8, something about rotaries got me going. I smiled as I fired her up, she purred like a kitten. We sped off to school, blaring music. We were laughing and vibing with the song that was playing when El turned it down, she had gotten the front seat.

0

"So, your birthday is coming up..."

0

"Mhmm?"

0

"You'll be 18."

0

"And?"

0

"We have to party bitch!" Sara chimed in from the backseat. I shot her a glare.

0

"Watch your mouth, my dude." I indicated to my little brother.

0

"Oh shit, sorry." Kade started laughing. We then turned the music back up a jammed to school. I didn't want to think about my birthday it brings a lot of bad memories from when I was living with my grandpa. The day my mom killed him was the happiest day of my life, mostly because I found her again.

0

We pulled into the school parking lot, and I whipped into my assigned parking spot, right next to Jeremy's. I sighed and swallowed my heart, it threatened to beat out of my chest. Be still my heart, I bid you be still. I took a deep breath and ripped the door open
