Intro
Amother day in la, another day away...
My name is Emma. I’m 19 and I live here in la. I live with one of my friends from home, we both attend the same film school. His name is Joey Stephenson.
Right now we’re driving back to out home town for Christmas.
“See ya Joey!“I say to him getting out of the car.
“See ya Emma. Hey dont forget we gotta get the gang together”
“Oh, right” I said to him as I pull my stuff out of the car. “Bye” I smile and give a little wave as I walk backwards, towards my house.
“I’m baaack!” I shout walking into my childhood home. “Looks like when I left”
“Emma!” My little brother hunter yells hugging me then quickly bolts away. “Emma’s here!” I heard him yell into the backyard.
Soon after that my family walked in. They greet me with hugs and ask a lot of questions. My sister who is 3 years older than me, her husband, my mom and dad, My brother and three of my friends from here.
After a bit I settle in and put my stuff away.
“So Emma? Got a boyfriend yet?” My brother nudges me.
“No” I roll my eyes.
“When are you going to get on. Your 19 and never had a boyfriend.” My friend Eric complained.
“I haven’t had the time. Plus theres nothing wrong with not having one.”
“Sure. But next time I see you you better have one.” Eirc pointed his finger at me jokingly.
Skip to back in la end of school.
“I found a roommate” Joey said getting off the phone.
“Cool” I responded.
“You know you should probably start looking for one. The sooner the better.”
“Yeah I will. Hey I’m going to Starbucks want anything?”
“Na I’m good.”
I walk to the closest Starbucks about a mile away. When I get there I order and sit on the couch. Soon my name was called and I got up. When i returned a boy was sitting next to where i was sitting.
I sit down again trying to not stare at the stranger. I catch a couple glimpses of the boy.
He looked around my age maybe older.
I looked at him again, this time he was looking at me. He had brown hair and blue eyes.
‘God those eyes’ I thought to myself.
We didn’t say anything. We just sat there. His eyes full of curiosity and energy. He looked into my eyes as if he were lost in them. He bit his lip.
‘Oh man that’s hot’ I thought.
I turned my attention to his lips. Light pink, and man they look soft. I also noticed he had a tooth gap. And man it made him even more hot.
I could feel my heart race, he closed his laptop and put it to the side without breaking eye contact.
He shifted closer, leaning towards my . I look back up at him, and damn hes hot. I lean back on the armrest of the couch as he leaned closer.
His hands sliding up my bare arms giving me chills. Now just inches away from each other, he nods. As if asking for permission. I nod back assuring him to go on.
He leans in more, close enough to feel his warm breath hit my lips turning me on.
Then out of no where he jolts back. I see two boys standing behind him, one of them holding onto his shirt.
“Dide really? We leave alone for one minute. ” the short boy said, the old holding onto him. “Sorry about him he uh.. yeah” he told me. “Names zach, this is Corbyn.” He said gesturing to the tall blonde.
“Hi.” I responded embarrassed and clearly blushing.
“Well sorry to interrupt that but we gotta go.” Corbyn said.
I nodded at him.
The boy sitting next to me stood up and started packing his laptop away. Before he leaves he bends down and hands me a note.
“Names Daniel” he said. He stood up and winked before walking away.
I open the note to find a phone number.
I look around to try and find him, but he was long gone.
Later that night.
I walk back and forth as the phone rings. Yes I’m calling him, I dont know why tho.
“Hello” he said.
“Hey um.. it’s me from Starbucks.”
“Oh uh hi!”
“Sooo your Daniel right?”
“The one and only. I didnt catch your name tho.”
“Um uh its Emma”
“What happened you forgot how to talk?” He joked. ” hey you want to meet up?” He asked.
“Sure? Where?”
“My house?”
“How do I know your not gonna kidnap me?”
“Cross my heart I’m not.”
“Ok. Address?”
“I’ll text you.”
“Ok I’ll be there.”
“Cant wait.”
“Bye”
“See you soon” he said before hanging up.
Soon I got the address and Joey drove me there.
I was a little scared of what might happen. But I decided to still give it a shot. I walk up to the door a before I can it swings open.
“Oh hi?” Corbyn said confused.
“Corbyn, right?”
“Sure is. Um what are you doing here?”
“Daniel invited me over.”
“Huh ok well come in, it’s kinda cold out there.”
I walk in as Corbyn shuts the front door.
“JONHA! NOOOOO! COME ON BRO REALLY!?” I heard someone say.
“Ha. Ha. To. Bad.” Another one said.
“Yes! I got a blue shell jonha you’re going down.” Zach sang teasingly.”
Corbyn walked me into the living room. “Guys Daniel’s girlfriend is here!” He yelled out.
Three boys that were sitting on the couch look back at me and Corbyn.
“Hey it’s you” zach hopped over the couch. “Nice seeing you again.” He said shaking my hand. “Also Daniel went to the store so he’ll be back in a bit. ”
“As to you. What are you guys playing?”
“Mario kart. Only like the best game ever.”
“No way I love mk. I haven’t played it since before I went to film school back when we had our wii.”
“Wait how old are you?”
“19”
“Dang you’re like an og player. You played on a wii”
“Yeah” I laughed.
“Those things are like ancient history now”
“I know right!”
“Hey I don’t think I know your name”
“Oh yeah, Emma.” I smile.
“Well, Emma you wanna play?” He asked referring to Mario kart.
“Heck yeah.” I responded walking over to the couch. Where the other boys were seated.
“Yo guys, this is Emma. Emma this is jonah and Jack.” He stated pointing to the two boys.
Jonah was lanky but he had muscle.
Jack looked more short and had curly hair.
“Hi” Jack greeted.
“Hello” jonah also greeted.
“Hi” I smile.
“Here catch.” Zach said tossing me a controller.
“Thanks”
“What race should we do next?” Jonah asked flipping through the races.
“Rainbow road!” Jack yelled.
Jonah looked around to see if everyone was in.
I nod my head when he gets to me.
He starts the race and we all zone in.
Me and jonah started out fighting for first place while the other two were behind.
Half way through the race zach yelled.
“Ha! Blue shell! Emma is going down.”
“Nope. I said slamming on my brakes letting jonah pass me. “Sorry jonah.”
“Dang didnt see that coming.” Jack laughed.
After a whole lot of yelling and fighting me and zach ended up in 3rd and 4th place while jonah and Jack were in 9 and 10th place.
“You guys want pop corn?” He asked looking around the room.
“Sure” we all say.
Soon Corbyn walks in holding bags of groceries.
“When did you go to the store?” Jack asked.
“I didn’t, Danny’s back.”
“Danny?” I ask.
“Its a nickname for him, he hates it so that’s why we like calling him that.” Corbyn responded unbagging the groceries.
“Huh”
A thud came from the front of the house.
Soon enough Daniel comes walking in with more bags. “Guys I’m done going to the store for you guys. It took me 3 hours.” He said not noticing me.
“Daniel!” Zach yelled.
“Yeah” he replied.
“Your girlfriends here!” Zach yelled back.
“What?” He said to himself.
“Hey” I said.
“Hi” he replied looking at me.
