Prologue

Meet Katrina Ramos she is not feeling herself as her stomach churns as she stared at the corpse who Detective Matthews pulled the white sheet from the gurney.

The body looked bloated and pale, there had been cuts and bruising under the skin and back of the legs and his arms.

Dr. Garrison let out a sigh as he turned on the tape recorder that hung above the adjacent table with scalpel in hand.

"Subject, John Orr, autopsy 847-932-06," he began "Hispanic male. Age: Twenty-Six. Height, Five foot eleven inches; weight one hundred ninety-seven pounds. Contusions reflecting struggle with hospital orderlies. Abdominal scar from apparent heart removal...."

Okay now or never, Garrison thought swallowing hard as he felt a lump in his throat. Garrison tried not to let his expression show evident to his colleague Michael however the feeling deep inside he felt queasy and had a guy feeling something was wrong as the blade cut through his flesh.
