Enjoyable read

"I like the different concept of bringing in island life rather than having a story on the main land in whatever world fantasy can dream up. For the most part, I had an easy time reading and keeping up with characters. Descriptions could bounce between being too much and too little, but I was able to keep up with what they were describing. There are a lot of run-on sentences and word duplication in this. For example, "I fought for my life, and I didn't want to lose my life." There were instances like that throughout that could be improved with synonyms. Grammar wasn't terrible, but there were some comma-happy moments where the sentence was broken up too much and made it choppy. The last thing is I was a little confused about the sudden arrival of the heroes. I wasn't quite sure how they got there, other than their initial introduction in another part of the story. All in all, it was a pretty enjoyable read, and once the rough bits are smoothed out, it will be even better. -Author of Hollow's Charge"
