Chapter 1
Avatar Aang taught me that everyone is capable of great good, and great evil. His way of looking at things implies that people tend to choose one or the other, and live their lives according to that creed.
But I can only feel strong if I embrace both my light and dark sides. It is the dark side which sparked my creativity, the side of which all who know me would reel back in shame, as those few I have told have done. Even Sokka could not keep on loving me if he knew. And Katara wouldn't want me for a sister-in-law. Trust me, I've seen her when she is riled against someone. It's not pretty, and the least of your problems would be being soaking wet.
As a Kyoshi warrior, obviously I'd face challenges, but there's this new girl in our group, Ty Lee. And she brings all my dark side to the surface again. The side that got me through being in prison. My good side was greatly submerged by that event, but the other part of me rose
up, until I saw Sokka, who made up for all my time in prison.I know I'm supposed to like Sokka, but my feelings toward Ty Lee are more of the pron-desire sort. By "pron-desire," I mean they're things I wouldn't do with Sokka. I'd probably do them with Katara if she didn't mind. Ugh, Suki. Don't think about that. It'd bad enough to consider asking Ty Lee, as you did earlier today. But Katara? Girls shouldn't be asking their boyfriend's sisters to experiment a bit with them.
Plus Katara has Aang and I...have Sokka.
An image of Katara, Ty Lee, and me sitting in a Jacuzzi together flashes into my mind. I shake my head to clear it. Not that. That is wrong. Especially since Katara'd never say yes. As for Ty Lee, well, who knew what her response would be? It could be almost anything, from an "Absolutely!" to a "No f rickin' way."
Nah, I'm kidding. I know Ty Lee would go for it. But the question I need answered is: will I be going against my morals to even suggest it?
Even though the simple answer to that is no, I cannot help but feel that my true answer would be yes, because Ty Lee is the last person on Earth who would know about...that.
