Smoke...darkness... wails and then silence. I see her. There she is and the next moment she is not. I see her again, bent and twisted. I have to save her. She is dying. Noooo... she can’t. I can’t let her go. I have to save her.......
I woke with a jerk. KRYSTAL was sitting right beside me. The concern on her face made me aware that I was again having the same nightmare...AGAIN
“You know I am here right. I am alive sweetie so please calm down. I promise I won’t go anywhere leaving you.” Saying she hugged me tight.
It has been four years since now and for everyone Lynn is dead. This is Krystal. Someone who looks exactly like her, walks like her moves like her and maybe...she is her.
“Yeah I know you are here. And you know what I really love you. ”I said wrapping her gently in my arms.
“No you don’t love me. You love Lynn. But I am both so... darling love you too” she was as cheerful as she could be.
“By the way Krys what were you doing exactly in the middle of the night?”
“I was just looking at you. You look so adorable while sleeping.” Her innocence always caught me off guard.
I sat upright. “Let me see what I can do for my lady tonight.”
“No dear sir, not today”. She knew me very well and was well acquainted with my naughtiness.
“ No???” I was surprised. She never said no. She was always more than excited.
“Naah... not today. I got to find something in the attic with Dungeon written on it. But the most fascinating thing is the handwriting doesn’t belong to neither of us. To whom does it belong?” “It is yours. I mean Lynn’s.”
“Is it?? The writing is so beautiful. Why did you not let me see it first?” she shot her question-arrow.
“I did. But how does it matter now? I will always be there for you. I promise.”
Tears were pricking in her eyes. Stopping them she said “I am dead for everyone. No one knows me here and I don’t remember a single face.” A silent tear rolled over her cheek.
“I will take you to them. I mean your parents” I said. I had never heard her saying this. I was shocked.
“No. Don’t. I don’t want to go to them leaving you alone. We are gonna be one forever remember that.”
I could not keep myself from smiling. She is my soul. She made me laugh again. She made me realise what a true love is.

Peel off my layers of sadness and mystery;

I will tell you my story.
I never dared to tell Krystal about my story. But then I realised that is will not matter. She loves me. She will never let me go. But what if she knows about the happenings before I realised I love her? What if she knows that all I wanted was to be in bed with her before I really knew her... before I fell for her?
The lust was all before I realised that I don’t go weak in knees near her rather I feel a strength in my heart. I will be her armour. No matter what people say? She has been my saviour, my sunshine.
I never wrote before. But there is always first time.
I cannot keep the burden with me anymore so I am finally putting pen to paper. The slow absorption of the ink and the unusual curved letters is satisfying.
