What is your opinion?

A little bit of joy

"This novel was in my library for a very, very long time. But I didn't read it since I thought there will be a sad ending, I was proved wrong. Last night, I gave this novel a chance and honestly, every sentence, every chapter kept me on edge and all the characters intrigued me. It was such a rollercoaster of emotions. I really really loved it. 💕🤗"

Don't read it!!!(if you're ugly cryer)

"I'm bawling my eyes out here 😭 This novel is SO good, SO raw, SO emotional ❤️ I knew what I was getting myself into - it said from the start that she had cancer, but DAMN.... I really wasn't expecting that much crying from myself... Previously I've read about pretty undercover princess and about a highly spirited tomboy. Those two stories were quite different but this one... I can't believe it's the same Author. I'm bowing my head low for your talent and ability to write such a variety of stories 🙌 Thank you, Author ❤️"

TOTALLY LOVED IT!

"You gave each person his/her time to grow. Gemma,Jamal, Marilyn,Shaun,Joy,Logan and other. Their Journey is heart touching and shows that they all are very strong people. In the end too you gave each of them their very own 'Ending'. I admire your writing! Waiting for more.💜👀"

A little piece of Joy

"EDIT: I am shook. Was I expecting a happy ending? May be, not. Was I ready for this ending? CERTAINLY NOT. But, was this inevitable? NO. So I am happy. Because no matter what life was at the beginning or at the end, you made it worth loving and living in between. Because even if I am crying at the end of this story, you made me calm throughout the path. I am amazed by your story."

A Little Bit Of Joy

"From the moment I read the description my heart was physically aching for both Joy and Logan and the inevitable ending of this story. I absolutely love your writing style and the way in which you bring the characters to life. I knew right from the beginning that I was going to end up crying at some point while reading this book and little did I know that my pillow would be soaking wet by the end. I know someone else previously commented that some information in the book wasn’t as accurate as it could be, however your writing was so intriguing and emotional it’s so easy to not even notice that. I really really loved your book and would deffo recommend :)"

"Can't help but cry. This novel made me think about family especially if one member is sick. Made me think about faith and acceptance, enjoying the present. Will share this."

What an enjoyable story!

"The more I read, the more I fell in love with these characters. So wonderful, so flawed, so real. A Little bit of Joy is exactly that: there's sadness, but there's always a little bit of joy. Some hope, a light at the end of the tunnel. If I'm honest, I was missing some depth in this story for both characters. Joy suffers from cancer, but the representation of this illness wasn't very accurate. If her cancer really "has spread everywhere" as she puts it, and by some miracle she would still be alive, she certainly wouldn't be working anymore or living her life like any healthy person. However, that is exactly what she is: living like any other person on this planet. The author seemed to forget that cancer impacts every aspect of your life and instead writes about it as nothing but a diagnosis and a way to lose hair fast. The same went for depression: it's more than not being happy, and I missed the descriptions of the other things that are a part of depression, as well as his journey to get better (including ups and downs). Eventually, Joy says Logan has come so far in his mental journey, and those words came as a surprise to me, because I hadn't really seen any of the steps he'd taken. But aside from the depth I was missing, the characters really came alive to me and they made me fall in love with the story. Part of the enjoyment is due to other aspects, too: the writing style is easy to get through, the descriptions are nicely balanced, and everything that needs to be said is said. The author also hasn't forgotten about the other characters aside from Logan and Joy that play a role in this story. This story doesn't just run from first page to last: the characters lived before the story even started."
