The office i work in is an office of a known magazine called Fashion and Glamour. I am an assistant designer and honestly i hate my job. I wanted to achieve success. When i got this job i thought my dream of getting successful would be fulfilled but i was wrong , the head designer , Lydia Crimson is nothing but a headache, She yells actually she yells a lot. Even if it is not your fault she'll get angry at you until you are a handsome man , she is maybe 27 and yet she is angry all the time. She is a daughter of a known businessmen so yes she is allowed to scream , break things and she is even allowed to hit you. All of us at office are just doing the job for our own needs and success , believe me if one of us had got any other job proposals , we would have left this snake pit. She is seriously a snake.
As i was having these thoughts i heard my name.
"CRYSTAL, CRYSTAL, WHERE ARE YOU? I TOLD YOU TO BRING ME COFFEE AN HOUR AGO." Lydia screamed , and she gave me the order to make coffee for her just 5 minutes ago.
"I am sorry mam, i was just about to bring the coffee for you." I had the cup in my hand.
She took the cup and threw it on the wall , it broke into pieces.
"WHY IS EVERYBODY SO LAZY HERE? WHY DO YOU ALL DO NOT WORK ON TIME? I AM SO DONE WITH ALL OF YOU, I NEED A NEW STAFF , THAT'S IT. "
"AND WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT ? CLEAN THE MESS YOU MADE."
The mess i made? and she was done? No actually everyone here was done with her rudeness and her ego but i wish i could tell this to her face. I wish i had the courage to but i could not. I picked up the broken cup pieces one by one and threw them in a dustbin. Lydia had left the office , maybe she was going to complaint about me to her dad. Ughh i hate her.
*At Four Pm*
Mr crimson called me and asked me to come to his office. His office was on the upper floor. I knocked on his door.
"May i come in sir?" I asked him. Mr crimson is a wealthy and successful businessman. He launched this magazine only for his precious daughter , because he did not want her to work under somebody less than her. He was two steps ahead of his daughter in being a egoistic person.
"Miss crystal , yes please come in."
"You asked me to come sir?"
"Yes, i did. I wanted to give you a warning by myself this time , and you can consider it your last warning. See you should be proud that you are working for my daughter , she just told me that you threw her coffee cup when she told you it did not had the same flavor as she liked."
"NO , sir she told you something wrong. I did not...."
"LISTEN TO ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU, I DO NOT LIKE IT WHEN SOMEONE DISTURBS ME." He yelled.
"Do you get it miss crytal?" He was calm again.
"Yes sir." I told him.
"Good then you can leave and yes please make sure , your behavior is good with my daughter too."
"Yes sir i will."
I left his office but i had tears in my eyes. I sat on a bench under a tree in the park just opposite the office.
How can anyone be so cruel? Was it really because of this much money? Only if my parents were here to listen to me , why did you leave me? why did you both had to die? I looked towards the sky as if they would hear me.
I got up to leave for my cold apartment , i do not even call it a home. Home is where your loved ones are not where you have to live alone. And living in this world on your own is the most dangerous thing to do.
