I never thought at age 6 I would lose my mother.
I was suddenly reminded of the incident 9 years ago when I was on my way home from school and saw my house engulfed in flames. Desperately I screamed out crying for my mother showing no restraint. Tears flooded down my face followed by the sounds of sirens. Knowing what has become my mother I still refused to accept the outcome. Left with despair I had not only lost my mother, but also myself.
It's been 9 years already and i still feel like this.
I notice all the students in his class talking and laughing together which stirs up a hatred inside me.
Tch! Everyone acting all friendly towards each other.
I am then reminded of my past once more shedding light on the reason I can't trust anyone. A few month's after I had lost my mother I got invested in the world of gaming. At that time the PGD had been fairly popluar with children and adolescents. I would spend most of my time playing games by myself, then suddenly another kid came up to me and asked why I was playing alone. I ignored him but the kid did not give up. "My name is Koga" he said frivolously. I looked at him and then slowly looked down and mumbled "Ren." Koga smiled and said "let's be friends!" I didn't know how to act in that moment however Koga began to talk with me about games.
Shortly after we became friends I experienced something drastic that had affected my life. One day on my way home I stopped by the park for a little, and casually sat down on the bench. Three boys came up to me and demanded I give them my PGD. I stood up swiftly and began to walk away when instantly I was shoved down by one the kids. The two other kids followed shortly after and began to laugh as they repeatedly kicked me on the ground. They forcefully grabbed my PGD and that's when one of the kids yelled out "You are not going to join in Koga." My expression was filled with rage when I saw Koga slowly walk up to me with a sinister smile. "Wait..." I said painfully "I thought we were friends." Koga stopped and looked down at me as if I were nothing but a mere insect "Friends? Who would want to be friends with someone like you." I knew at that moment I couldn't rely on anyone but myself. I was immediately awoken from my daydream by the sound of the bell indicating that school is over. It's been 2 years I should stop by the dojo soon. I had been practicing both Iaido and Ju-Justu for 7 years fully mastering both arts at such a young age earning myself a spot into Tensai Academy the school of the gifted. Although having exceptional martial arts and academic abilities I feel like I haven't accomplished anything in life yet, for that reason I spend all of my free time playing a RPG game called "Archaic Order." Here I am able to escape the troubles of the real world filled with lies and despair. Though the game offered friends and guild mechanics I deemed them unnecessary thinking others would only get in my way. I made quite the name for myself being known as the strongest solo player in the game coming first in tournaments and event's. I was the first player to reach max level and received special rewards for such milestone's. After this occasion I actually felt as if I had finally accomplished something I am proud of. One fateful night as I logged into the game I noticed a special event had started titled "Make A Wish." I read the description aloud " Participate in the one in a lifetime event for a chance to win the legendary item Necklace of Order the first person to conquer this labyrinth will win this prize and claim glory as the strongest player in AOO." "Sounds like my type of event." I said enthusiastically. Within a few hours i had already conquered the labyrinth winning the event. I got a message from the developers congratulating me. "Hmm... That wasn't much of a challenge. Let's check out this item now." As I clicked on the description i noticed the buff's right away. "Woah, this item boosts strength and agility while also absorbing all elemental magic and converts it into mana. This item is crazy good." I was astonished that such an item could exist. I kept on reading the rest of the description. "It is said that this necklace was created by the sun goddess Dalia herself, it holds tremendous power and is said to be one of the 5 Archaic Artifacts. The necklace has a special ability capable of granting the wearer one single wish." Guess that explains the name of the event. "Well, let's see if it's true." After a few seconds of thinking i decided to make my wish. "I wish I could be an adventurer in Archaic Order." Once i had made my wish I noticed the necklace began to shine in the game, illuminating a white light that got brighter then suddenly dissipated. I was concerned and curious for only a second then turned skeptical. "Of course there is no way that will ever happen." I turned off my computer and my lamp readying myself for bed. I walked over to window and stared up at the night sky. A full moon dominated the sky that night creating a beautiful scenery, One that would be my last look at the world I once knew. As I fell asleep images began to relay in my mind, though asleep I felt fully conscious. A bright light appeared out of nowhere blinding me. As my eyes started to adjust I noticed a silhouette forming in the distance, slowly getting larger and more clear until it was directly in front of me. There within arms reach stood a woman with hair as bright as the sun, and a snow white robe. She was so close i could smell her. "Roses?" I said unconsciously as I was in awe. The woman looked at me with a sweet smile and gently blew a kiss towards me. Suddenly small particles began to eject from her hand and started to surround me. My body slowly lit up as the particles grew in number until my whole body was like a firefly. Still in awe I had no idea how to react, finally snapping back into my senses. "Who are you?" I asked. I was shocked to notice the woman had disappeared, and before i knew it so did I. When I woke up i can feel a gentle breeze caressing my face followed by the sounds of birds. I realized then I was not in my room. Surrounded by trees and a lake I instantly recalled the wish i had made. Is this really happening. I thought to myself. As this began to sink in I was ecstatic and filled with joy that I am actually in a fantasy world. "This is awesome!" I yelled, then shortly realized something was off about my voice. I walked up to the water in the lake and used it to look at my face and was surprised. "WHAT?! W-why do I look like my avatar." Seeing how I have been turned into an Elisin really threw me off. "I should have been more clear in my wish." I said depressingly. I realized more importantly that the Elisin race was completely wiped out by a demon lord making me the sole survivor of the entire race. "Guess I'll have to deal with that guy later, but for now I need to get a better understanding on how this world works." I set out from the lake towards a recognizable statue in the middle of an open field. "Huh..?this looks familiar." I said as I took a closer look. "This is the statue of the holy guardian Prismus. Which means the city of Prismus is nearby." I studied my surroundings for a few seconds and noticed where I was. "This is the training field for beginners." I caught a glimpse of something in my peripheral vision, what looks to be an icon of some sort. When my eyesight dominated this icon an overview of my stats appeared. "No way I have all of my stats from when I played." I went through my inventory as well. "I have all my items too. I really am my avatar in AOO." I never believed in the impossible, simple things are bound by law and physics, however I seemed to overcome that boundary and was transported to a fantasy world. A world where I can live how I want to live and where im not bound by the limitations set in the other world. My new story begins NOW!
