The Moss Maiden of Kinderhook
"The first thing, that had caught my attention, reading this novel, was the time period, that this was set in. The characters and the writing style encapsulated the XIX century perfectly. A dark, mysterious aura of a past time was present throughout the novel. Talking about time, I really appreciated the little author note, stating the differences of Kinderhook now and then. Furthermore, the descriptions, even though rather scarce, suited the pace of the book. On another note, I absolutely adored Marie as a character, from her backround to her personality and inner turmoil. Marie being an outcast had a great bearing and was honestly hurtful. I felt saddened for her mother as well. Other characters were intertaining as well, William, Seamus, Nathaniel etc. They were all diverse, I loved Seamus' reasonings and his past. Saying that, the ending was well done. Adored the philosophy of whether revenge can be justifiable... There were a few grammatical mistakes present throughout the book, like missing words, also the plural and dative forms would be mixed up. At least those were the things, I had noticed... In the end, this was a spectacular novel. I'm positive, it will live inside my head for some time. Thank you to the author for putting out this wonderful work. And lastly, I'd recommend this novel to people, who enjoy a well thought-out historical mystery. "

"This story was well developed and full of twist and turns. The characters were well developed. I saw very few errors that can be fixed with a simple fix. This story was scary and beautiful So many human emotions and thoughts as to what is truly right and what is truly wrong. Can people do bad things for the right reason? Or is bad bad? Love the works of this writer. Look forward to reading lots more."
