Journey - Prologue
“Long, Long ago, there arrived a king in all white, a man of honour, honesty and loyalty. Standing near a cliff and facing the large flourishing valley. Behind him are his followers, hope in their eyes. His loyal followers once had a peaceful life. But out of nowhere, monsters arose from the ground and began killing the innocents. They had been chased by those ruthless beasts and some were even killed by them. They have travelled years on end to find a safe hidden area to call home.
“This valley,” He said
“This is the end of our journey! Those restless nights will end. We will all be free from the terror. We will all be safer here, hidden away from those vile creatures. And if they’ll find us again, I will protect you all.”
Their journey had ended and so they began building their kingdom from the bottom of the valley and to the tallest of the peaks. And centuries later, the kingdom nevertheless strives to make their home safer, even when they all forget about the monsters.
Accept us two.”
“But Mummy, I don’t like monsters.”
The young lady softly smiled, making the dim-lit room just a little bit brighter and also little one happier.
“My sweet child, there is nothing to be afraid of. I’ll protect you.”
The young child giggled and rested her head on her mothers’ lap and looked up at the most beautiful jewelled eyes.
“Mummy, why doesn’t Daddy love us?”
The smile slowly turned into a frown, the lady looked out at the small barred window, gazing at the tiny stars.
“It’s time to go to sleep, my little princess. Tomorrow will be a big day.”
The small innocent child gave her last smile and went into a deep sleep.
