Regrets and Rebirth

Under the cover of night, moans filled the hall as willow hesitantly opened her bedroom door. Inside lay two figures intertwined on her bed, too distracted to notice willows gasp. The only light inside the darkened room was the dim moonlight shining through the window, almost perfectly illuminating the lovers faces like a spotlight. Draped with a silk sheet around her back, dark hair wild, pale skin flushed, eyes closed and lips parted in ecstacy the woman looked as enchanting as a demoness. A demoness known as willows younger sister Lily. Lying beneath her, panting in pleasure like a beast was willows fiance Damon Scott. A mixture of emotions swirled inside willows heart then but pure hatred pumped through her veins like venom.

She had already lost everything. Today she learned who it was that killed her parents, unborn baby, beauty, and even her ability to paint. These 2 were all she had left but they planned it all. Why? To steal her inheritance! Seeing the two in coitus after hearing the news snapped any reasoning she had left.

A sudden wave of intense bloodlust made lily quickly turn to see willow staring at her with eyes that seemed able to burn down the world. Startled, lily was too scared to move despite the awkward circumstance. Her sister was never easy to calm when angry. She tried plead but the words stuck in her throat even when willow slowly pulled out the pistol in her purse. Noticing lilys odd behavior damon sat up to see willow. She looked as cold as the gun in her hand and they could only tremble in fear at the sight. Before they could speak a word, willow didnt even blink as she shot the cheating two times each.

Blood stained the walls and flowers of red bloomed across the white silk sheets below as their crumpled bodys slumped over at odd turns. The sight curled willows lips upwards into an eery smile. Tears of self loathing and despair tricked down her face as she placed the now hot gun against her temple. If only she had never been blinded by love, this would have never happened. It was too late now but in the next life she swore she would never be stupid enough to love again. After calming herself with a few deep breaths of acceptance, Willow closed her eyes and pulled the trigger.

A huge clap of thunder jolted willow awake, almost making her fall from her bed. Wait? What happened? Didnt she just die? Looking wildly about the room she realized she must be dreaming. Surrounding her was glittery blue curtains, painted purple walls, lavish furniture, and painting from her childhood. Surely this was her room as a teenager but that’s impossible. It burned down 5 years ago taking her parents lives, flawless face, and delicate hands along with it. Frowning at the thought willow touched her right cheek expecting the feel the scars she had traced with her fingers so many times before. To her suprise her face felt pleasantly smooth and her fingers were no longer bent or pained by touch. What is this? Pushing aside the velvet stuffed animals and cashmere blanket, willow climbed out of bed.

Even the thick black carpet was the same! Smiling sadly willow began to reminisce about the past. Lost in thought she nearly walked by a nearby mirror without noticing her reflection. Like a frightened doe she stood before the large silver mirror in awe.

Staring back at her was a pale young beauty no older than 16. Her long ash blonde hair cascaded down her back in waves curling upwards at her tiny waist. Her limbs were slim and pale as was her neck and face. Almost doll like her wide dark eyes glistened and beneath a pointed nose her lush lips trembled.

Tears of joy wet her rosy cheeks and in that moment she could only praise the god who pitied her poor soul. This was her! She was a young teen again! Was this heaven? A dream? She didnt care! Either way she could see her parents again!

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
