Prologue
Prologue
For thousands of years, three nations had lived in peace. Twelve islands made up the three nations. Two islands, the kingdom of Avolon, was the nation of magic users, sorcerers, and sorceresses. A peaceful nation, only concerned with practicing their craft.
The second nation, the nation of vampires, held the kingdoms of Solane, Varun, Amor, Evel, and Oriana. The vampire kings were constantly at war against each other, each king wishing to take supreme control over the five vampire kingdoms.
The third nation, the nation of Lycans, held the kingdoms of Selma, Emrys, Iana, Albion, and Cara. Though they seemed barbaric, they too were a peaceful nation. Occasionally warring with the vampires when they offended them.
Peace had once more come between the vampire kingdoms. The old kings joined the ranks of the elders, and their heirs became the new kings. But these new kings were young, greedy, and ambitious. They wished to take control of not only the vampire kingdom but the other kingdoms as well. And so, the five new kings made an uneasy alliance.
War broke out. The kingdom of Avolon was falling fast. The king fearing for what remained of his people called upon his most skilled sorcerers and sorceress to come up with a plan to save them, and they did. They combined their magic, and before the vampires could breach the shores of the last Alovon island, it vanished.
The vampire kings searched for many years for the lost island of Avolon, but it was in vain, Avolon was gone. Soon it was forgotten, a myth to Vampire and Lycan kind. The kings turned their attention to the Lycans and for five hundred years’ war between the two nations raged until one by one the Lycan kingdoms fell.
The Lycans who survived were thrown into slavery. For two hundred years they waited, biding their time until they were strong enough to revolt against the vampires. The time finally came during the crowning of new kings. The second great war went on for one hundred and fifty years. Both sides fighting fiercely, until a king perished during a raid. His son along with one other vampire and the elders called for peace. A meeting was set with the vampire kings and the leaders of the Lycan rebels on the eleventh island, long ago renamed Dragomir by the vampires.
