Chapter 1
I get a message on my phone, it says “ attention Mars will crash into earth in an estimate of 60 minutes, there are only a billion pods in the world. There are only 100 million in america. Quickly, find a pod and leave”
Everyone’s phones start to ring in unison, as they get the same message. They don’t worry, this happened last year. Hackers hacked people’s phones and said the same thing. I start to worry, our phones ring again.“ The pods have random places they will go to, every pod will be sent to an Earth-like planet in this Galaxy or one of the 20 others, we have deemed habitable for human life. Pods will be available at schools and churches.
I rush to the nearby high- school, and I see students and teachers getting into pods. I quickly try to get into, somebody gets into it quicker. I try another one, it closes in my face. Every pod has left, I check my phone it’s 2:30, 15 minutes have passed. The next school is a 15-minute walk, the churches is another option as it’s Tuesday today. The church is a 10-minute walk. I decide the church is a better option.
I walk for 10 minutes, and when I get to the church it’s empty, there are no pods. The next school is 25 minutes away and the next church is 30. I run to the school hoping for a pod.
The sidewalks are only half as full as before the only people left, don’t believe it’s really happening.
I get to the school and it’s empty…. nothing. It’s 3, I have only 15 minutes, I rush to the church. 10 minutes, I search the church for any pods. 5 minutes I worried I will die here, 3 I can't help but wonder what will happen to me after death. 2, I look around the corner and I see a POD, I see a beat up pod. I get inside, 1 minute, there isn't a planet to go to on the travel log. I quickly put in something. 20, I press the start. 10, I am blasted into space. 5, I look back into earth 4, I can’t help but hope it was a joke 3, I know it wasn’t. 2, I see all my memories 1, the earth explodes.
My eyes close into a slumber, I don’t know when I’ll wake.

I wake up, to me crashing into a planet's atmosphere.
“aHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” I say, praying I don’t die
“ I know, I just avoided burning to death but I kinda don’t want to crash into my death,” I say to no one, Freaking out as the pod is burning
“Why is this burning, isn’t this made out of like metal…. that was dumb”
The pod crashes and I am pushed out of my seat and into the dirty ground
“I guess this is better”
I get off the ground and start looking at the planet. It… It looks exactly like earth, I can even see a Sun here, none of the planets we had seen had a Purple Sun. almost all of them had Blue or Green Suns.
“Where am I?”
I walk around trying to find where my backpack is, I try to remember if this was a planet we found that could support life. all I can remember is the letter E . My stomach starts to rumble, it seems like I was in that pod for days. I picked up my phone and it’s weird looking, there’s no time or date.
Suddenly, I see something in the distance…. it looks like a shack or some sort of building. at first, it almost seems to be fake looking, but my eyes adjust and realiae…. IT'S a HOUSE. But why would there be a house here?
I start walking towards the house, as I get closer and closer, I start wondering why there is a house here. Did we miss a galaxy or another planet in the other galaxies? are there other life forms?
I continue to walk towards the houses, I won’t have answers to those questions if I don’t find out what’s inside that house.
after a few minutes, I finally get to the front of the house.
The outside looks to be a muddy brown, but because of the Sun, it has more of a purple tint than brown.
I try to open the door, but it’s locked. I look around the house, the windows are locked but seem to be my best bet
I look around for a rock, or stone of some sort. after a few minutes, I find one, I throw it against the window and the glass shatters.
I start to climb into the house, the inside of the house is a greenish color. The furniture is like a grandma decorated it, it’s all brown like the outside.
I start looking around for something that can tell me who built this. But, it’s bare no picture or anything personal. My stomach rumbles again. I try to find a kitchen, it only takes a few seconds.
The kitchen is exactly like the ones on earth. What is this place? I search the cupboards for something to eat. I can only find, beans and what’s this... canned tuna. How is there Canned Tuna, here? The language written here is…. Old English, weird.
I take out the tuna and start eating it. It has a weird flavor, like… cardboard?
In the middle of eating, the door opens.
“What the hell” a manly voice says, his footsteps get closer to the kitchen.
“animals, I say annoying creatures” I quickly try to hide behind the corner.
His footsteps enter the kitchen, “Huh, how did they open the tuna” He says, confused.
I forgot to throw it away, I close my eyes. Thoughts race through my mind,
Serial Killer, MaYBE
Human eater, maybe
Sexist, maybe
a president, this is a different planet
These are all maybes
His footsteps stop in front of me.
