1. The New Begging

It is so different here. I don’t know anybody here at this new new middle school. The teachers are so mean. Every single boy stares at me as I walk down the hallway, And all the girls laugh at what I wear. ( which is usually jeans and a baggy shirt). I actually don't understand what's wrong with that out fit. Oh!, My name is Harper Miller and i’m in 7th grade. I had just moved schools which sucked. I had to move from Pennsylvania to Columbia. My teacher this year is Mrs. Smith. She is pretty nice compared to the other teachers. This one boy in my class is kinda cute. His name is Brayden. He’s pretty chill. I just got his number today. Something about him is off though, I can’t quite recall it but I know that something is wrong.

Today was the best day ever! Today Brayden invited me over to his house! What’s even more surprising is that my mom said I could go over! I said sure because I had nothing better to do. I acted all chill about it since I secretly liked him. When I came back from his house I partied even though I knew something was still off about him. I had pancakes for breakfast this morning which were made by me. Yep, you heard it. I’m sort of a “cook” . They tasted amazing, despite my lack of not reading directions. I’m always too lazy to read directions and that’s a risk of making them wrong.

I knew, just knew something was up with Brayden. Today my friend wasn’t here and I had forgotten that she said she wasn’t going to be here today. She broke her arm yesterday when she was riding on her bike. Then you won’t believe it, Brayden knew about this before me! I couldn’t believe it. Was he better friends with MY best friend than me? I think I’m questioning way too many things in my life, but I’ll never forget that.

So this is what it’s like having a diary. Oh, let me introduce myself. I’m Hunter (her brother). Let me take you into my life. Harper is such a weird sister. Ever since she got this diary before school she’s been ..addicted to it. I know we all have stuff we really enjoy but, she always is writing in here. I guess she knows a boy named Brayden? Oh, I remember him! I’ve seen him at lunch. I guess they’re super good friends? What!? Mom let her have a sleepover at his house! No fair. Mom won’t let me have a sleepover at My friends house. She also went over to his house to hangout the day of my birthday! :( The weird thing is that she came back acting not really normal for herself. She acted.... Scared. Then, out of nowhere she wanted to talk to me every second. Something is definitely very suspicious with her.

I think this is my daughter’s diary. She wrote a lot in this so I’m assuming it is. My daughter is being very unusual. She always goes over to a boy’s house. I’m fine with it she just has to call me every two hours when she’s over there. (If she’s going to sleep she just has to text me, “Goodnight.”) On her brother’s birthday, she completely missed it! Normally she would never skip a family member’s birthday. The other night I made her favorite meal for dinner but she said she didn’t want it. She always eats her favorite meal! Something is definitely up with her, And i need to figure it out quick before anything bad happens.
