Chapter 1
Father called the little girl excitedly her blond pigtails waving and her frilly yellow dress flowing behind her as she ran into the bright dinning room . The dinning room a huge room the walls all covered in golden paint with blue curtains around the family paintings also framed in gold . For these were the family colors gold and blue her beautiful red gold eyes shinning with joy and triumph but what that little had in her hands made my heart sink it was a wooden sword something she had obviously made by hand . I wanted to snatch it away before she reached him for this was going to break her heart . But her father had already turned and seen what was in her hand his face Harding with anger and pain . She reached him and held it out for him to see her white toothly smile lighting up the room even more than the glittering gold around her father look what I made . He took it and I wanted to stop this now before he did it as I knew he was going to . He stood up and snapped it over his knee the wood cracking into two pieces he tost it away into the fire place the wood quickly catching fire . her eyes widened and her smile slowly faded from her face . Tears filled her eyes her face twisting in despair . I don't ever want to see you anywhere near a sword fake or not the next time I see you with one I will break it and if it's real you will pay for it . Your only use is to married off to strengthen the family line I will not have you ruining that by training like a fool is that understood ? She nodded what I can't hear you yes father she choked out . Good now stop crying he said as he walked out . As soon as he was gone i knelt down and hugged the little girl . I'm so sorry garnet . She sobbed I knew she had put more than 3 months of work into that little sword so it made sense that she would be heartbroken . I swear she said liftiy her head I will become a warrior and live my own life if it's the last thing I do . Her eyes blazed determinedly I felt a shutter go through me just like her mother she would accomplish her goals at all cost I will support you all the way I vowed quietly
