Chapter 1
Marina cruises the country side lost in its splendor. The trees remain clothed in green. On the brink of taking another curve on this winding country road, a sudden riot of colorful trees flanks the roadside. She glances at the empty passenger seat next to her then to the road up ahead. She's drawn back by a single leaf pirouetting down on the wings of a soft and silent breeze. It pauses briefly before the windshield. Its delicate frame brushes against the car's glassy face as though it sends a farewell ode to the occupant. It then whisks away by the grips of another icy wind.
