Notes
I realized after writing a little that I might need to clarify somethings.
While at first glance it looks like it’s set in this world, it is not. Here are some differences that need to be understood.
1) Certain things look like they do here but they don’t have the same meaning or have different properties. Example: Sunflowers could be poisonous.
2) There is a God is in this story but he’s different from ours. He talks to people and gives proof of things like Heaven and Hell. Avantika’s family was given their crowns by God. And the story about the sword is true.
3) There are names and words from different languages but doesn’t mean that’s the language they speak. Avantika means Queen in Indian and Moira means Fate in Greek but those languages don’t exist in this world.
4) The funerals depend on rank, the higher you are in court when you leave this world. A King would be burned, a peasant would be buried, and a traitor would probably be eaten by wolves.
5) It’s not all one kingdom there are others out there.
6) There is a such thing as The Crown Matrimonial in this book. If a woman married a King and both signed the document if the King died without an heir his wife continues to rule, she can marry again and any children she has with her husband are heir to the throne. This works with any status in the monarchy.
7) A coup is where a small group in the military overthrows the reigning body and replaces it with another person
