Isabella’s POV

*** Ten years ago, ***

Playing with my siblings in my grandmother’s living room also known as my second home, hearing raindrops hitting the roof top above our heads. As my two little brothers along with my twin sister squealed while running around the coffee table playing the game of ‘tag’, a sense of motion caught my eye. I see my mother and father walk through my grandmother’s front door, drenched from head to toe in water from the severe storm that was taking place outside. I took a glance behind them noticing that they did not come home alone.

While my mother and father where taking off their wet clothing, telling my grandma to bring some warm towels so they didn’t get any mud and water trailed along her floor, my eyes stay focused on the thing that was covered by a quilt that was behind them. I could see it physically shaking from the cold or possibly fear... maybe both even.

“Bella, are you alright?” I heard my father ask.

I just nod my head in reply still not taking my eyes off the creature behind them.

“Oh, I guess Bella found out our surprise” I listened to my mother, imagining the beautiful smile placed on her face.

“What surprise? Did we get a puppy?” My twin sister Evelyn asked excitedly as two my brothers Kelvin and Dustin jump in delight.

“I would love to say yes but no we did not. We have brought a friend home and I want you guys to treat him the way you treat your siblings. Okay?” My father said.

“Like fighting with our toys?” Dustin question.

“No, you egg noodle, Dad means sharing and caring” Evelyn sighs.

“Oh, and the ‘love’ thingy” Kelvin smiled at his answer.

“That’s right” My mother clapped her hands.

“Now please welcome Alessandro” My father smiles warmly.

Soon as the quilt hit the floor, I instantly saw a boy around my age or possibly a year or two older than me standing behind my parents, staring at me intensely.

Not long after, my siblings rush forward towards him trying to make him feel welcome the best way they can.

“Guys slow down, you are scaring him” I said quietly just above a whisper.

“Bella is right my dears, give the Alessandro to look around and make himself comfortable before you charge at him” My grandmother’s sweet voice said coming from behind me. Followed along with a string a small sighs and foot tapping, seeing that they all have moved back away from Alessandro.

I turned around to find my grandmother struggling to hold all the towels in her arms, dropping one in the process.

“I’ll get that” I said with my little legs running behind her, picking up the soft warm towel andbegan to follow her towards my parents.

My grandmother handed out the towels to my parents, leaving the last towel that was in my hands for Alessandro.

I took a step out from behind grandma, now standing in front of him then said, “U-Um here you go, you will need this to keep you warm” while gesturing the towel towards him, staring down at the ground .

“Thank you” The voice in front of me said, taking the towel that was in my hands.

I cast my vision back onto him, taking in his appearance up close. He had warm brown eyes that has been keeping me captivated, with very dark chestnut colored hair. He also had a little scar on his left cheek just underneath his eye making him cute looking. He is also very scrawny but that only comes to be a kid.

I gave him his towel and decided to take a step back, giving him the space that he needed. I lowered my gaze to the ground, only to find him speaking to me again.

“I-I’m Alessandro but you can call me Alec” His voice said bring my attention back onto him.

“Hi, I’m Isabella but you may call me Bella” I said with a huge lopsided smile plastering on my face. “Would you like to play legos with me after when you are warm?” I asked.

“Sure” He replies with a bright smile devouring his face.

**Present day**

“UGH” I woke up with sweat dripping down my face. “It was just a dream Bella, it was just a dream” I said to myself, as flashbacks started to occur.

The little boy? My siblings? Me?

I honestly don’t remember everything, only split glimpse of it but this dream always finds its way to repeats in the back of my mind.

I have a feeling that the little boy named Alessandro was a huge part of my life, yet I still don’t remember a single thing, only the night when I met him.

Did I really meet him though or was it really a dream? Is he real or am I imagining him and my potential ‘false’ childhood?

Damn I should introduce myself... Hi I am Isabella, I am seventeen years old and I can’t remember anything from my past, only potential ‘false’ memories or just dreams that could possibly link to my past.

Anyways, I grab my stuff for school and began to get ready.

“Eve, Kelvin and Dust! We are leaving unless you want to take the bus” I called out.

“HECK NO!” Dustin replies. “It smells like dirty gym socks that has been locked up into a locker for years” He complains while I laugh.

“Okay guys let’s hit the road” I said.

“I call shot gun” Kelvin smile.

“Let’s go” I said while I walking to my car.
