I
1
I meet you between intervals
At first we didn’t speak
The fog between us too thick
So I only really came to know you
Last year
The same time that I met the puffy white clover
And the henbit
And the dandelions
They pointed me to the sky in praise:
“Mother, lifebringer!”
I was so blind at that time I had thought they meant the Sun
Even in my ignorance you graced me with your presence
Massaging my skin
With gentle breezes
And light showers
