Summary

I looked up at the man in front of me. He was HOT. But he was also forbidden fruit. He was Alex's brother for God's sake! My boyfriend's brother, none the less. I shouldn't feel at all attracted to him, but the way he was looking at me right now... This wasn't right. He leaned closer though. I was losing all control right then. He pressed his lips to my jaw and my mind went completely blank, like it always does when he was this close. This was wrong. This was wrong. I knew it, but I couldn't bring myself to find the reason. Then it came to me. Alex. Alex would be angry. Now I seemed like a whore. Another kiss, on my neck this time, and another thought slipped away. This is still wrong... Why though? Think Beatrice! Alex came to mind again. Alex came to mind again. I knew there were more reasons than that, but I couldn't think of them at the moment. He moved his lips again, this time peppering kisses across my collarbone and he stopped at the hollow of my throat. I gasped softly. Now my mind was empty. I wasn't even thinking clearly. The only thought that passed my mind was that I wanted more of this. More of him.

Chapter ×Nap Time×

I smiled up at Alex and saw that he was smiling back. He was absolutely perfect for me and I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend, lover, or best friend. He was mine and I was his. I had no problem with that whatsoever.

0

Alex and I have been dating for four years, since eleventh grade. Today, he had taken me out to dinner and now we were laying naked in his bed. This wasn't my first time. We've been having sex since a year into our relationship because I finally decided that I was ready. He was patient enough to wait for me and I was grateful for that. I was a lucky girl.

0

I looked into his sky blue eyes and pushed back his honey blonde locks. He smiled again in the dim light and placed a kiss on my forehead.

0

"I love you," he whispered. I smiled widely, as I did every time I heard those words roll off his tongue.

0

"I love you too," I returned quietly. Dawn was beginning to break through the sky and I closed my heavy, sleepy eyes. It was nap time now.

I woke up, the sun shining through the window and I immediately closed my eyes again and rolled over. He really needed some blinds or curtains, but he always refused to get them, claiming that he enjoyed waking up to the sun on his face. I can't say that I agreed.

0

Alex was gone, probably to work, and I lay alone in the bed. I sat up and stood, looking around the room for my clothes, which were scattered all across the room. I grabbed my dress from the bedside table, my bra from the door, and my panties from the chair beside the bathroom.

0

I went into the bathroom and washed my hands once I was finished, then I picked up my toothbrush that I left and brushed my teeth. Once I was done, I smiled at myself in the mirror. Today was going to be a good day. I could feel it.

0

I turned and took a shower, enjoying the warm water that ran over my body, cleansing me. I enjoyed moments like these. The quiet ones where I was left alone with my thoughts in peace.

0

I got out and put on a pair of jeans and a dark gray spaghetti strap tank top then pulled on a blue and black short sleeve plaid button up, but I only buttoned the bottom four, leaving it open to reveal the gray tank top at my breasts. Then I slid into a pair of dark gray sneakers. I went back into the bathroom and brushed my hair, then began applying my minimum amount of makeup.

0

Alex liked my makeup. He said it made my eyes stand out and made me look sexier. That was the only reason I wore makeup these days, otherwise I wouldn't bother. I left my brown hair to fall loosely around my shoulders and looked at myself. My hazel eyes were more brown than green but I didn't mind. I was used to it.

0

After that, I went and started my day. I didn't do much. I just walked around the city and looked at the expensive things through the windows. I never bought anything though. I was too poor. I would get a job, but last time I tried that, it badly interfered with my classes that I took at the local college. We were on break now, for the holidays.

0

I actually enjoyed school. It gave me a break and distracted me from my slow, boring life. Alex made it more bearable, but seeing as he was at work, I was alone.

0

My phone rang, dragging me out of my depressing thoughts and I smiled as I answered.

0

"Hello?"

0

"Good morning sunshine. Sleep well?" I loved hearing Alex's soothing voice. When he worked, he always called me on his lunch break, which was right now.

0

"I slept amazingly well. How's work?"

0

"Same old, same old you know. Lizzie invited me over for dinner, but I politely declined. Unless you wanted to tag along, then I could ask her, but I highly doubt she would agree if you're to be there," he teased. I rolled my eyes. Lizzie was a woman that Alex worked with and she was always flirting with him. It made me jealous, sure, but I trusted Alex. He wouldn't hurt me like that.

0

"Sounds interesting but you know that's a big hell no for me," I said with a laugh, which made him laugh too.

0

"Listen," he prompted. "Tomorrow is Christmas, right? My parents are having dinner this year and they said I could bring you along then afterwards, they're throwing a party. Do you want to come?"

0

I was in shock at first. Alex hasn't spoken to his parents in years. They stopped talking before we got together, and I was surprised to hear that Alex was actually going. I had to be there to support him, right?

0

"Of course. I'd love to meet your parents," I said with enthusiasm.

0

"Great. That's perfect. I'll pick you up at seven, okay," he asked and I said yes in confirmation. "I love you," he said again.

0

"I love you too. See you tomorrow." With that, he hung up and I felt the nerves start to sink in. I would be meeting his parents for the first time tomorrow, and I wasn't sure if they would like me or not. I wasn't sure what they were like either, but I still hoped that this would go well.

What I took from this opening chapter is this girl has no problem trusting her boyfriend of 4 years. She and he are in a comfortable, predictable relationship. But...something is going to happen to shake that relaxed relationship up.
