Levy picked up the phone.
“Hello, this is the Magnolia police station. How may be i be of service?....... Fire?........ Planned?...... Please state your destination Sir. ....... Help is on the way sir. Thank you.”
That’s all Officer Heartfillia had to listen to.
“Miss.MacGarden, Please give me the details, Now.”
“Officer! Yes i will and you’ll need the Fire department too. Its the Cathedral. The man seems to be sure of it as an arson.”
If only. If only MacGarden knew that it was a planned to meet someone. Someone from the Past. Someone who CAN destroy the future of those who she held dear.
“Thanks. I’m on it.”
The conflagration could be seen 10 blocks away from the Cathedral. The fire brigade was fast on it’s wheels since it was their fastest driver, Jet.
The Cathedral held nothing combustible, so it was a clue to Officer Heartfillia. A clue to see HIM again.
Sparks were thrown ubiquitously. No-one will be hurt, maybe fainted by the extreme smoke inhalation, but nothing serious. HE wouldn’t do that.
While the fire fighters were busy extinguishing the fire, Lucy took it as the granted distraction. She ran deeper and deeper into the building, No idea where to turn. Soon she bumped into someone who was rushing outwards. but before she could proceed, the man whispered, “Top floor“. Then it was known that HE would be waiting for HER there. She had to run all the way up here.
‘Jeez! He could have let me used the elevator! But no!’ Lucy thought to herself. But this wasn’t her main problem. Then she saw it. The eminent logo of his gang. The most troubled of them all.
She ran into the dark hall, only to find herself locked in there. She pulled out her gun.
“No need for that dear.”
Lucy tensed up.
“What the hell do you want this time?”
“Oh my Naive babe! Why i just wanted to see you dear!”
“Cut the crap Dragneel! Get straight to the point!”
Although Lucy could not see him, She could definitely feel his presence and his movements.
“Ah! How i love the blazing love in me for you and the smouldering one for me in you. It makes me more... excited.”
“An interesting choice of words. But i Don’t really have time for that. We could do it sometime later and still beat you with the amounts of books I’ve read. But now, state your PROBLEM!”
“Too bad.”
“Why call me in this hell hole when we could have just met anywhere else. No soul harmed.”
“What fun in that? Besides, u know Fire is my element.”
He was coming near. Lucy felt that.
“But if you really want me to answer your question, then. I just wanted to see you in action honey. Remember the cafe?”
Lucy gasped! No way! She was just telling Levy how their was nothing to do as a field agent besides patrolling. How could HE be there and be invisible to her eye?
“Don’t worry sweety. No sweat. Today was just to test your strength. One day of more to come.”
Was he gone? What did he even mean? Lucy felt nothing now. Until the creepy sensation that someone is staring you from the back.
“Get ready. Your life’s most interesting case, starts......... NOW.”
And with that, he was gone for real. Lights were turned on but no sign of him.
‘Its not only you Dragneel. I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve too. Just you wait and watch’. Lucy thought as she checked for other signs of human life while running back.
‘Shit! Now i also need an excuse now for entering a burning building! Damn Scarlet! Damn you Dragneel!’ She added to thoughts.
