Chapter 1- Maddie
"Hello?" I hear my prey say into the darkness.
Were in a forest. Just me and her. Alone! It was perfect and I was hungry.
She asked again "HELLO?!" This time more urgent.
Slowly I crept up behind her.
"look behind you!" I call slowly.
As she spun around I quickly took my chance and bit her on the neck. She let out a small cry before falling limp.
I had my feast and turned to leave when something stopped me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something moving in between the trees. I started to hurry. Nothing can kill me but I can be wounded and it hurts ten times more than if I was human. As I near the edge of the forest I hear a voice behind me.
"stop" it says. "I know what you are!"
"what then?" I ask with my back still to it.
"Vampire!" it exclaims.
"who are you? I ask, turning around as I say it.
Clearly the surprise shows on my face because he starts to laugh.
As his face comes into view I start to notice some of his features, like his baby blue eyes and short curly dark brown hair. I had never seen someone so gorgeous. He smirks and I can feel my heart race.
"Information is on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know that." he says. I can tell that he is enjoying this.
"goodbye then!" I quickly say and turn around to leave. As I take a step to go I cast a quick spell and he has to fallow me. I look over my shoulder to find that his smile has left his annoyingly handsome face.
"let go of me!" he shouts at me. I keep walking and so he must continue to fallow. "I mean it!" he screams at me. "I can hurt you so bad you won't be able to move!"
"shut up" I say quickly and he does.
Now I'm the one enjoying this.
"your coming home with me unless you tell me who you are!" he doesn't speak. "oh right, I forgot. You may speak."
"all you need to know is that I'm a werewolf and you're a vampire. We're sworn enemy's!" he spits at me.
"why does it have to be that way though?" I ask out loud. he looks taken aback by my comment. "I mean humans hate both of us and we both and we both hunt, if you think about it, we actually have a lot in common!" I say simply.
He thinks for a while before answering but when he does I'm even more surprised than he was only 2 minutes ago. "you're right! I never thout of it that way before."
"did a werewolf just say that I'm right?" I say surprised . By this point we had stopped walking and I was staring at him.
"what's your name?" I ask him.
"why?" he returns.
"I can't set you free unless I know your name." I explain.
"Xander" he says, giving in.
"I'm Maddie. Nice to meet you Xander." I replied.
"Did it work?" he asks me.
"you tell me." I say and take a step back. He has his eyes closed and I gotta say, he looks even cuter with them all scrunched up. WHAT AM I THINKING? I can't go out with a werewolf!
"it worked!" he exclaims, snapping me out of my trance.
"Look, do you want to meet up again? I think we could be good friends." I blurt out before I can stop myself.
"I agree" he says surprising me yet again.
"Great! How about tomorrow at daily forest cafe?"
"Sounds good" he says. "what time?"
"12?" I suggest.
"perfect!" he replies.
I can't believe my luck!
