A Hidden Gem

"As a lover of all things Finnish, this book immediately caught my eye. It was very refreshing to see Finland explored in a short story, as it is a beautiful place with a rich culture that is often overlooked. The writer did an excellent job of describing the beauty of the Finnish wilderness and it was interesting to learn more about the country's mythology. Even if you don't know any of the myths or the language, the writer explains it to you clearly without making the writing sound stilted. However, at times the writing style can be a bit clunky, and there are several grammar mistakes throughout. That being said, this book is a hidden gem- just like the country it celebrates."
