Road Trip

Caroline and Jessi were planning the last part to their road trip, even though it was the middle of October. "So where are we going again?"

Caroline asked rolling over then accidently falling off of Jessi's bed with a thud. Jessi eyes widen and she covers her mouth to contain her giggles, then coughs to cover the fact that she was laughing at her best friend. Caroline glared at Jessi as she got off the ground.

"We are going to a cabin in Waterville." Jessi replied as she flopped down on her bed.

"What day are we going?" Caroline asked flopping down on the bed next to her best friend.

"I told you this a week ago." Jessi said rolling over on her back and to sit up so her back was resting on her headboard.

"I know but I forgot." Caroline said with her head buried in a pillow so her voice came out muffled.

"We are going on the 27th then were are going to stay until Halloween Is over." Jessi said rubbing her eyes then leaning her head back so it was resting against the headboard. The girls sat in silence for a couple of minutes, until Caroline broke the silence by asking "Can I do your hair?" Jessi nodded her head then taking her curly light brown hair out of it's bun, she did her hair and they talked until Caroline had to go home.

The next couple of days went by fast until it was the day before Caroline and Jessi went on their vacation. Jessi and Caroline were putting up.

Halloween decorations outside of Caroline's house. "I don't see what you see in him." Jessi said as Caroline's crush Eddie walked by with his friends, freaking out about germs.

"He's adorable, Look at him." she said with a lovey dovey look in her eyes. Jessi rolled her eyes at Caroline who let out a long sigh.

After putting up decorations for a little while, Caroline's mom came out of the house and said "Thank you for helping me girls." She gave them both big tight hugs.

"It was no problem Mrs. Blackwater." Jessi said with a big smile. Caroline's mom and the girls talked for awhile. Jessi ended up staying the night so they could leave earlier in the morning. The girls woke up at five in the morning. After getting ready the girls told their parents that they were leaving. It took about five hours to get there. Halfway there the girls decided to stop and go to the Waffle House. After thirty minutes they finally got back on the road.

It was one o'three when they got into town. They stopped at a gas station to get gas and directions. Jessi walked into the gas station. She walked up to the cashier person. "Umm... Do you know where the Winchester house is?" she asked the cashier as Caroline walked in the door. The guys eyes widened as he took in a sharp breath. The guy told them the directions as they paid for their gas, water bottles and snacks.

When the girls got there Caroline asked "I thought this was supposed to be a cabin?"

"I thought it was." Jessi replied stepping out of the car. They started to walk up the path that led them to the house that looked like it was from a scary movie. "Do you think there used to be a lake or a pond over there?" Caroline asked pointing over to a short cliff.

"Could of been." Jessi replied right before they reached the door of the house.

"This is private property." a deep creepy voice shouted from a far distance. The girls whipped their heads around trying to find where the voice had came from. Caroline screamed when a cold hand touched her shoulder from behind. She jumped forward almost knocking over Jessi in the process. Jessi stumbled back, gaining her balance just before she fell over.

"You must be Jessi and Caroline." another creepy voice said. The girls who were huddled together in fear nodded slowly unsure if they should say yes. They let go of each other unwilling, their hands shaking.

He tilted his head to the side and smiles a creepy smile. "Right this way." he said pointing to the house.

They girls stayed close to each other as they walked into the old house. The boards creaking as they stepped on them. Jessi stayed downstairs to listen to what the creepy man was saying while Caroline went up stairs. She slowly walked up the flight of stairs. The stairs creaked as she stepped on them. Caroline stopped for a couple of seconds to see if Jessi was still talking to the creepy man. She wasn't, Caroline thought nothing of it as she continued to walk up the stairs.

After a couple of minutes Caroline went downstairs to see what Jessi was doing. When she got down there Jessi was nowhere in sight. Once again Caroline thought nothing of it. She went outside to see if Jessi was there. She wasn't. She stood there for a few minutes.

She started walking towards the car, as she got goosebumps not from the cold, but from something else. Caroline looked around confused. She Started to call Jessi, there was no answered. Caroline started to get frightened so she walked back to the house. When she got there she decided to try and call Jessi again.

When she heard Jessi's ringtone from inside the house, Caroline let out a sigh of relief. She walked inside the house and on the ground right next door was Jessi's phone. She picked up the phone it was cracked and there was blood on it. Caroline saw something move from the corner of her eye on the second floor. "Jessi." Caroline called out. She turned to the stair case and starting walking towards it hoping that Jessi was playing some sick prank on her. Oh boy was she wrong. At the very top of the stairs was a shadowy creature that looked like a demon. She fell back with a gasp as the thing started moving towards her. She let out an ear splitting scream as she tried moving away from it. It looked unfazed as it started to move faster towards her. She closed her eyes in fear and wished she had never agreed to go on this road trip. She opened her eyes hoping this was all just a nightmare but when she opened them, there it was right in front of her staring down at her with it's black eyes. Then every thing went black.
