Suicide.
Have you ever thought about suicide? Of course it is a taboo topic that many are not willing to discuss. But what do we know about suicide? Is suicide a good or bad thing?
Ultimately, life is precious, so please fellow readers, don’t go jumping off bridges when you read this okay?
Adults always say that entertainment like shows, anime and games will never contribute to anything to this society. I strongly disagree, what I think is humans should be able to access any form of content. As long as they are not disgusted, they should be allowed to access it.
Oh yea the topic about suicide. A few days ago I was finishing an anime titled “Babylon”. It was an anime about a world modeled after the real world which a conspiracy of enacting a suicide law (making suicide legal) was plotted and executed. The show ultimately tried to relay the true meaning of right and wrong plus the extent of justice a human should act upon. In the anime, the meaning of right and wrong was debated constantly, eventually resulting in the interpretation a version of (right) is to continue, to prolong our species and survival, to increase our numbers and primordially our natural instinct of domination and creation. To conclude their train of thoughts, suicide is technically morally bad. Now I’m not going to spoil the show for you guys who might want to watch it so I won’t be listing every argument made.
But here I will discuss real life implications of suicide base on my personal opinions. Now people put down your pitchforks and torches, I am no expert, neither a psychologist nor an economist, I am just purely basing my opinions on worse case scenarios that can happen if the majority of this world decides to commit suicide.
Now if you are still reading this, if you ever feel like the world doesn’t want you and you don’t have any friends and you are too shy or prideful to seek counseling, just talk to something, it doesn’t matter if they are non-living objects, the only thing that matters is that you speak up or out, eventually you’ll be able to interact with people, maybe not as easy or fluent as others but you’ll get there someday. Everyone is weird in their own ways.
Ah well, after such a long rant, I suppose it’s time to get into the good stuff. Time for some people to be triggered by the statements that I will be making. I personally think that suicide is extremely idiotic. Woah woah people, before you gun me down with your rifles, I would like to explain my viewpoint. I personally think that if you want to do it, just do it around the age of 5 or 6. Don’t waste your parent’s resources to feed and grow you. Imagine living in this world for 15 to 16 years, breathing and using the Earth’s resources and decides to let it all go and run away. How irresponsible a person could be?
Well I do understand that humans by nature are selfish creatures, it is normal for us to run away from problems and submit to the stronger force manipulating us but think about the people that will be suffering in your place. Of course some people don’t care about what others are feeling, but at least as a human being don’t go stooping lower than animals. Animals don’t just go around and suicide for no reason, we are a higher level conscious being. We are better. We are stronger. conscious
99% of problems in this world can be solved with money, instead of taking the easy route, why not try the hard route by working hard and making money eventually enacting vengeance and justice upon those who had wronged you. You might feel a little empty after taking your revenge but at that point you will have a clear mind to choose between life and death.
The older people get, the clearer they see the world. If it is a world they don’t want to live in then they will just be irresponsible bastards throwing away their pride and glory as a human being.
Another impact I would like to shine light on will be the economic standpoint of suicide. Now this might sound really boring to some of you readers with common sense so you can just skip this part but there are people out there that don’t really think big you know? Their pea sized brain only allowed them to only view themselves as the most important thing in the world where other people’s lives don’t matter.
If majority of the world commits suicide, production rate will plummet, power plants exploding because of a lack of staff inducing the apocalypse? You get my reasons, there are too many to note them down one by one.
In conclusion, there are still countries that legalized suicide. But personally I don’t agree with it. Although this topic might be taboo for most of the people reading this, I hope you would actually get a chance to openly talk about it, just to you know… broaden your horizons.
