“Slowly Ashley! Otherwise you’ll hurt yourself...”
“That’s better.”
The little girls were snickering.
“Miss Mirani?” Came a small voice.
“Yes, Holly.” She said.
“How do you know what we are doing?” Questioned the little girl.
She bent down towards the little curious bun and smiled at her brightly. She lifted her hand and with a little help from one of her students and gently caressed the little girls soft cheeks.
She leaned in a little towards the girl and whispered in her ear.
“That’s a secret.” The little girl giggled at her answer.
She held her hand out for support and with the help of her students she was able to stand back up. Once up she carried on teaching with a few giggles coming from the girls here and there until they suddenly seized.
Stomping could be heard from down the corridor outside her class. At first one could hardly hear it but with each second it got louder and louder; she felt whoever was stomping around was coming closer towards her classroom. As the stomping got louder; the lights began to flicker, the girls gasped and quickly hid behind their teacher.
“Lily.” She called out sternly.
“Yes Miss Mirani.” She whispered.
“Help me guide the class into the furthest corner of the room. Also all the big girls, please hold each of the little girls hands and do not let go of them at all. Abbey, I want you to hold onto Ferris’ hand and if things get worse please carry her in your arms. Are we all clear?” She instructed.
“Yes Miss Mirani.” Came their reply.
Within a few minutes they were all organised and well hidden in the corner. Suddenly the door burst open, all the girls in the class gasped behind her.
“Excuse me, this is a girls classroom-“ she was immediately cut off by a rough calloused hand.
“Be quiet!” He whispered in her ear.
