Being the New Girl
Hi, I’m Chelsea Millard. I’m new at Shadow Academy and I’m kind of scared because I am starting 3 weeks after everybody else and they all already have friends. Will I be an outcast? Oh, forget it, I am always an outcast. I am waiting for the principal in the office for my schedule, locker number, and dorm room.
I have never really had a dorm room with another person before. So, this is kind of new to me. What if I get on the wrong foot with the mean/popular girls right away. I have to be here for.....I don’t even know how long!!!!! Eventually, though, I will (hopefully) be free. I was waiting and a kid that literally ran into me as I was walking into the school, happens to walk in and sit down next to me. He says, “Hi, I’m Liam and I’m sorry for running into you earlier. It was an accident.” So I said, “I’m Chelsea and it’s fine.” “I haven’t seen you around before, are you knew?” “Yeah!, I’m from Michigan and I just moved here,” I said. “Oh. Well then when you get out of here and get to lunch, you can come and sit with me and my friends.” “Ok, thanks. I will definitely think about it.” Then, thank goodness, the headmaster called me in. I guess I technically already made my first friend here, maybe I shouldn’t be so scared......
Oh, well, then the principal called me in. I hope I don’t make too much trouble here, I mean it’s not like I’m a bad kid, it is just that at my old school I was called a nerd. Now, I got some cuter less nerdy clothes and I am planning on making a new start. I mean, I am still going to get good grades I just won’t be such a good girl anymore. I have had my first kiss, and this might be surprising, but I am not a virgin anymore, I have also never drank though.
