Chapter 1
As I walked through the dark, gloomy corridor the only things I could hear were my footsteps echoing through the empty corridor and the occasional creaking of the cold, damp floorboards beneath my bare feet. I was only wearing a thin white nightgown covered in what looked like dirt and blood. I didn't even know if the blood was my own or not.
I felt like I was the only person in this sad and lonely place. Wherever this was.
Up ahead in the corridor that never seemed to end I could see a faint sliver of light coming from what seemed to be a keyhole. This must have been the first door I've seen in what feels like a million lifetimes.
As if in a trance I walked forwards until I was standing right in front of the door. I was silently debating if I should let my curiosity get the better of me or if I should just try to leave this place and forget about it completely.
My curiosity won and I opened the door.
