An Insatiable Craving

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Excerpt: They didn't feel sadness, nor did they feel guilty. They didn't know the feeling of such emotions. The only thing they felt was...hunger. Their insatiable desire of wanting to be satisfied would never come. They were always hungry...always craving more. The taste of blood and human flesh was too powerful to ignore or resist. Nova's mouth began to salivate as he felt his teeth sharpen at the thought of their next meal. His eyes darkened as he breathed heavily. He had no self control whenever he let himself think about his next meal. His family were aggressive eaters, but he was the most aggressive and he didn't like to share. He was greedy. Were they human? Once...a long time ago... before that tragic night... Things were different now...they were different...something more, something powerful...something...inhuman. They no longer considered themselves something as insignificant as a human being because...what kind of human being would devour another...and actually enjoy it? -End of Excerpt P.S. This story is not for the faint of heart. As the author, I can say that it IS rated R. For some of you, this may not be your cup of tea, but I won't tell you not to read it-only suggest that you don't. If you can handle it, then have at it. P.P.S This is my first story on Inkitt but it is not my first time writing one. This story has been edited.

PROLOGUE

It...it finally happened. We finally killed someone, just so we could eat. There was no order, no coercing-only willingness. My parents, siblings and I, killed her because we knew we could overpower her. She stood no chance against us. Her screams...oh God, those horrible, annoying screams... I had to shut her up- had to stop those ear-piercing screams, so I grabbed a chef's knife and stabbed it through her skull, through her left eye.

The gruesome sight and her final twitches, made my younger sister's eyes grow wide as she licked her lips in anticipation. My stomach growled as I stared at the now-dead corpse as I felt my hunger growing. We all stood surrounding her lifeless body, our eyes reflecting our excitement as well as our hunger, as it was time for a long-awaited meal. "Thank you for your sacrifice," we all whispered simultaneously as they used to do...before their demise. Only behind closed doors did we allow our...true colors to show. In a matter of minutes that felt like seconds, all that was left was her teeth and hair. Hours later and those screams still echoed off the walls. I didn't care because I didn't feel guilty. All I felt was...hunger. A never-ending insatiable craving for more...
