Origins of Immortals

Origins of Immortals

Once the Earth was created, Kami and the others in heaven were resting. But Noyze and Oda, two mischievous young tenshis, were running and playing around in the soul weaving level. Noyze was hiding from her brother.

“Where are you, Noyze?” Oda asked aloud. He heard his sister giggling.

“Found you!” Oda yelled. Then he rapidly flew up to the cabinet of the magic dust and tagged her wildly.

“Whoa!” Noyze cried playfully as she fell over. But when the tenshi fell over, she knocked over the open jar of pink magic dust into the soul-weaving pot.

“Uh-oh.” said both angels as they saw the pink dust swirling in with the unborn souls.

“Now what do we do?” Oda asked.

“Not to worry.” Noyze said. “The pre-souls aren’t going out today.”

“Really?” her brother asked. The angel girl nodded. “Okay.” Oda said. Then the angel siblings went away to play somewhere else.

But unfortunately, Mi-chan, the head pre-soul disposer, came into the soul weaving-level to do a daily pre-soul delivery. She didn’t notice the fallen jar or the now semi-pink unborn souls. Mi-chan just dumped the soul-weaving pot onto the living realm and left the level.

The unborn souls fell in the form of snow. They fell into all of young maidens and conceived in order to take life.

Years, later Kami noticed strong bursts of energy on the living realm. Out of concern, he called forward Bayu, Mi-chan, Noyze, and Oda.

“What is all this energy in the living realm I sense, Mi-chan?” Kami asked.

“Uh…”she began. She didn’t know what to say. “I don’t know. All I did was the usual task, my lord.” Bayu caught on quickly.

“My lord! It’s the dust of the immortal that you sense!” she cried out. Kami was stunned.

“Who’s responsible for this mishap?!” he yelled. None answered.

Finally, Noyze spoke up, “It’s my fault, my lord.” Kami, Bayu, and Mi-chan were shocked.

“But why?” they asked.

“I can answer that.” Oda spoke up. “Noyze and I were playing in the soul-weaving level. Noyze was hiding and I found. I shoved her down and she knocked the dust down into the pot.”

“What have we told you about playing in the soul-weaving level? You know better!” Mi-chan barked.

“We're sorry,” the angel siblings said.

“Forgiven.” said Kami. Bayu, Mi-chan, Noyze, and Oda stood silent.

Kami turned to them and barked, “Well, don’t just stand there! We have a problem to fix!” Then the group dismissed very quickly.

Kami worked fiercely to remove the powers of the immortals. Within seven days the power was taken away. The denounced immortals wept bitterly and fled to Kami.

“Please let us have our powers back, my lord Kami!” they cried out. Bayu and Kami listened closely. Bayu turned to her master.

“My lord, what shall we do?” asked shed. Kami didn’t answer but he knew what he had to do.

So Kami descended down to the denounced immortals.

“You may have your powers back. However, you must follow these conditions.” said he.

“Yes! Tell us what to do!” the fallen immortals wailed. “You must not use your powers to get what you want. You must not use your powers to start wars….” Kami began.

“But my lord!” the immortals yelled. “What if our enemies attack us? What will we do?”

“You may use your powers for defense. And…. Understand the power belongs to me. Clear?” Kami continued.

“Yes!” the immortals said in union.

“Very well.” Kami said. Then he spread out his hand and immortals regained their powers.

Some immortals kept their vows and others just ignored them. Bayu looked worried.

“My lord! Some of immortals have broken their vows! What shall we do?” she cried.

“Don’t worry Bayu.” said Kami. “I set up a flaw when they lose their virginity. I f they are evil, they’ll lose their powers forever. But if they’re pure….” Kami explained.

“They get them back!” Bayu said, gasping.

“Yes, you get it!” Kami replied.

“But for how long?” his right-hand lady asked.

“In two weeks, the pure get their powers back.” said Kami.

“Great judgment, my lord!” Bayu exclaimed. Kami just smiled.

This is how immortals first came to be.
