"This book has been sitting prettily in my library for so long, however, it was yesterday and today that I read it, and I love love love it. It could be better tho, like more details as the pace of the story is good, with more details I, guess it won't feel to rush and readers can understand better, I love how Ivy's mate was such a gentle giant and I hope the author will pick up where he/she left us. "I found MJ originally on Wattpad and fell in love with their writing on that platform. I was reading an update on their story When Red Roses Die, and saw that they had started writing The After Effects here on Inkitt. This author is literally one of the best. MJ creates a world and characters that not only I can relate to as a reader, thats saying a lot since its fiction, but that I wish I was a part of. I feel as if i'm in the story when reading and I am desperate for more when there is an end, at least to a chapter. I consider myself a real fan of MJ's work and a loyal follower/reader. I Love this story (The After Effects) because it flows so nicely and really feels like a work of art. I hope MJ keeps writing, even if it is just for fun. Thank you."

"The story progresses nicely into this new (old) apocalyptic world after a plague. It is very good that the start of the story is not rushed like lots of authors do, this makes an easy transition into the story. Loving the writing style, it shows that the author reads a lot and makes almost zero grammatical mistakes. The writing is effortless and super captivating. Cannot wait for more chapters. I super recommend to everyone who is tired of the same mundane romance cliché and loves a bit of tension of a good mystery/horror! <3"

"I liked the plot, the characters, the ending however the story lacked depth. There were a lot of developments happening that would be accepted without a second thought, like the adoption or the kidnapping making it feel like a story by a child who keeps adding plot points without proper planning. I would’ve loved for the author to focus of the the characters feelings like how MC felt being responsible for a child etc."
