SpiderKook (Taekook In Spiderverse)

Clock striked three in the morning and still the sound of clinking the keyboard continues to echo in the simple, tiny room barely four meters wide, cramped with stuff around every corner, turning the place into a complete mess.

Jungkook, a student and a boy who just entered into his 20s, was highly concentrating on bringing out some research on his computer. He was peering into the screen with so much concentration when it was nothing related to his study or work, but it mattered to him as if it was his whole life.

Exhausted and frustrated with the results, he shut it down to only find his cellphone with hundreds of messages, tagging along with many missed calls. His best friend, Taehyung, reminding him, they had a test tomorrow before midnight but Jungkook was too busy in other things that he forgot.

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair and threw his phone on the bed to now open up his books.

Heavy knocks on the door just interrupted Jungkook's precious sleep who could barely get for an hour. Felt like he had fallen asleep just a while ago.

"Jungkook~ah! It's 7 already, when you gonna get up, you'll be late!" His aunt furiously hit the door twice or thrice.

"Coming~~" a sore voice replied her and she sighed hardly.

"I’ll wait downstairs, get a shower quickly."

"On my way" he replied before getting up from his desk.

His back hurts so much after spending whole night on the computer that a whimper left his lips with the soreness. His eyes were puffy and head started aching already.

He still managed to get himself down after taking a proper bath and grooming himself.

"Jungkook~ah, you want some jam too?" His aunt asked as he reached downstairs.

He just nodded.

"Ah no good morning?" She asked again and Jungkook pecked her bangs on the forehead before whispering a 'good morning'.

He settled himself on the chair and grabbed his plate to now feed himself. His eyes were almost about to pop out of his sockets as he stared into the space.

His aunt was watching his actions and snapped her fingers to get his attention.

He came back to reality and fed himself quickly.

"Ah calm down just eat nicely."

"Sorry ma but I just have to leave earlier." He pushed his plate and got up to put his shoes on.

"Take care of yourself. Have a nice day." She greeted and Jungkook nodded smiling.

Jungkook straightened his back and prepared himself before being scolded by his best friend for ignoring his messages and calls.

He walked out of his home to only find Taehyung with crossed arms and narrowed eyes, peering straight at Jungkook who just nervously rubbed his nape.

"Um- well, I" Jungkook was about to form a sentence but Taehyung interrupted.

"Shut up or else we'll get late.” Taehyung walked along the pathway as Jungkook followed behind quickly. Just as Jungkook was expecting the outbreak of questions, Taehyung as if on time began talking- correction yelling at him.

“First of all where were you busy last night and what the hell is wrong with you, didn't you sleep well? And if you were not sleeping then what were you doing instead? And don't tell me you haven't prepared for the test. Our seats are already away and I won't help you with it. Wait, are you even listening to me or what?"

Taehyung being Taehyung loaded Jungkook with so many questions while walking to their University.

Half way through, Jungkook was just looking down and nodding his head after everything Taehyung was saying.

"I.. I am listening" Jungkook whispered.

"The actual problem is that you're never listening." Taehyung said.

"Hey"

"Did you prepare for the test?"

"I could only do some chapters, leave it it's just a normal practice test."

"Of course, as if later your aunt won't be informed about your bad performance." Taehyung said with his mocking voice and they just reached the entrance gate of the University.

"Ah... I will see it" Jungkook just said and entered their classes after crossing the campus with Taehyung.

"Kook wassup man, looks like someone studied so much last night. C'mon man don't take it seriously, it's just a test okay?"

"Oh Hi Yugyeom" Jungkook smiled and high fived his friend Yugyeom.

Just before they could say anything their professor had entered the class and brought out papers in his hands which made the students huff in frustration.

"Test time students" and guess no one was happy with the statement.

Jungkook did as much as he could and submitted his answer copy to his professor before rushing out of the class.

All students raised their heads to see how he left so early.

"Knew he had studied too much last night." Yugyeom mumbled and Taehyung just glared at him. Yugyeom passed a smile but Taehyung faked one back because he could never get along with him and his personality whilst our young man, Yugyeom was catching feelings for him.

Jungkook rushed to the microbiology lab where some students along with a lab attendant were working.

"Ah excuse me Sir, I am here to just bring some things..." Jungkook excused and attendant nodded.

Jungkook while taking the opportunity went behind the shelf where there was a little store room, hiding all the old documents about researchers and their history.

Jungkook opened up the window from inside and left the lab after mumbling thanks to the lab attendent.

Taking this opportunity, he ran outside to now enter the store room through the window. He started going through boxes after boxes and shelves after shelves to find a clue about someone.

He tried so hard but nothing could help him. He sighed and stood up but then suddenly one red file caught his attention and he carried it out from the trash bin.

The file had confidential stamp on it. It was already open and he curiously started checking papers after papers inside it.

He was so lost in it that he didn't realised a spider was crawling on his back.

He snatched away some of the papers out of it as he found them helpful. Just when he was about to put the file back, he felt a very stinging pain on his neck.

He was about to scream but shut his mouth with his own hands before rushing out of there to the washroom.

He locked himself in and took out his shirt to only find two red spots on his neck after turning around. It was stinging so badly and he was terrified how the redness started spreading.

He tried to sooth himself while splashing water on the stinging part but it wasn't helping him at all.

Just then he heard knocks on the door. He quickly wore his shirt before rushing out.

"Jungkook? There you are, I was searching you around. Where were you?" Taehyung asked and a whimper released Jungkook's lips.

"Are you okay?" Taehyung asked worried.

Jungkook just but his lower lip and nodded. They walked out of there to their class together and Jungkook spaced out again.

Taehyung's worries started growing more and more after observing how Jungkook was spacing out a lot and was acting all weird.

But least to his information his whole life was about to take a very massive turn which no one had ever imagined about.

And Jungkook noticed it when he broke a pen into four pieces when he just pressed it slightly. To say he was surprised would be an understatement.

And he knew something was definitely wrong.
