When it all started
Wednesday 08/31
“Anna, come downstairs!” My mom shouted for the third time. “I’m coming,” I shouted back. I was listening to some music of my favourite singer Yungblud when I had to go downstairs. Tonight some friends of my parents came to eat with us. They had a son of my age, he and I didn’t get along. That’s the reason that the last time I saw him was 5 years ago, when I was 11 years old.
When I came downstairs, they were already there. That’s when I saw him... the most handsome boy I’ve ever seen. With his hair in front of his eyes, who were bright blue, his shirt that sticked to his body and that accentuated his muscles. And then there was also his hair that was messed up. I felt that my face was turning red.
“Anna, where are your manners? Say hello!” My dad said. “Hey, Daniël wright?”. “Yeah” he said. It looked like it had been an eternity when he looked away from my eyes. He bit in his lip. I looked around me and I saw our parents had gone to the kitchen to talk there. I looked back at him and he said “hey Annabel”. He winked. He knew I hated that name, he knew it. Now I remember why I hated him. He is 17 years old and he is still that immature.
When we were done eating, my mother said: “Anna, take Daniël to your room. We have to discus something.” I don’t get why my mom wanted me to take a boy to my room. I just wanted to tell my mom that I thought it wasn’t appropriate to take a boy to my room when I saw that he was already upstairs. I followed him and told him that he better just stayed outside my room, but he didn’t listen.
He went in my room and laid on my bed. “You know why I was always so mean to you?” I shook my head. “I used to have a hugh crush on you. I thought it was so cute how you always reacted and you have such beautiful curly hair. You also have the greenest eyes I’ve ever seen and those dimples in your cheek.” I turned totally red when he grabbed my head and the dimples touched. Did I understand him well? Did Daniël Wuornes like me? What he didn’t know was that I liked him too. Then he let me go.
We began to talk about music, books, school and art. We had been talking for over an hour, when Daniël’s parents called him. Daniël gave me a kiss on the cheek and gave me a letter where he had written something. His hands were so warm. That night I couldn’t sleep much because I was constantly thinking of him.
Then everything changed.
