Chapter-1
Smriti's POV
" Yes sir." I said.
" Get me the list of all the encounters that took place in 2 years within 15 minutes." Sanjay sir instructed.
" Right away sir." I said and started towards my cubicle.
I handed over the list to sir within 15 minutes.
" Ms Sharma, you are going to Kashmir along with the search party. You will be searching for the terrorist, Yakim. Our sources have informed that he has taken shelter in some abondonded school building there. You will get your new identity for 5 days. Make sure that the civilians do not get to know about it. You leave tomorrow. Now dismissed." Mr Kumar instructed. He is the senior most officer of this branch.
" Sir." I said.
You see, the live of an agent revolves around taking orders and abiding by them. Here, life is very robotic, yet way too thrilling. Thank god that I have two best friends here with me or else I would not have survived here for 1 year.
They are Mansi and Lakshya.
Mansi is an agent like me and Lakshya is a computer hacker.
" You up for the Kashmir mission?" Lakshya asked, handing me coffee.
" Yes." I sighed.
" Where is Mansi?" He asked.
" She is on leave today. She has to leave for Singapore tomorrow." I told him.
He nodded.
" Smriti mam, Sanjay sir gave this." Tarun handed me a packet.
He is the office peon.
I opened the packet and saw an aadhar card with the name of Ms. Aliza Ahmed.
" I'm Aliza Ahmed for the next 5 days." I told Lakshya.
" Do whatever you have to, just take care of yourself and don't die." Lakshya said.
" I'm not dying so easily Lucky. Don't worry." I said.
The day passed in a blurr and now it was time to go home.
I rang the door bell.
" Thank god you are alive." Mom said sarcastically.
Actually it has become a routine, My mom thinks that I can die anytime with the job I do.
" MOM..... Ofcourse I am alive." I said.
" Where is papa?" I asked her.
" Office." She said.
I nodded.
Actually, My dad works in a financial institution, my mom is a neurologist and I am an agent in RAW. But you already know this.
" Now go and freshen up. I am getting snacks for you." She said.
" Mom, I have to leave for work tomorrow. I will be back in 5 days." I told her.
" Now where are you going?" She asked.
I just looked at her.
" Fine. Just stay alive and healthy." She said and sighed.
I nodded enthusiastically.
I did my business and mom got me pasta in alfredo sauce. I so love it.
Papa was home in the next 15 minutes.
" Beta, Your mom told me that you are leaving tomorrow. Do your work with full dedication and always remember that we all are with you." Papa said and embraced me in a hug.
" I love you papa." I said.
" I love you too mera baccha( My daughter)." He said.
We all had dinner and I retired to my room. I have to pack some essentials for tomorrow.
I was done in an hour. Mansi was calling me.
" All the best for Singapore." I said.
" All the best for Kashmir." She said.
" Take care and keep us informed." I told her.
" You too." She said.
" If in danger, you remember the code words right?" I asked her.
" Ofcousrse I do." She said.
" Good. We will return alive." I said.
" Yes, we will." She retorted.
" Bye. I love you." I said.
" Love you too. Bye." She said and hung up.
Before a mission, we always talk this way.
I set my alarm for 4 in the morning. My flight is at 6:30.
I slept.
My phone started ringing.
" Hello." I said sleepily.
" Wake up. You have a flight to catch." Lakshya said.
" But I just slept." I complained.
He just chuckled and hung up.
I got ready and left for the airport.
" Here you are." Sunaina said, spotting me.
" Let's go in." I said.
We are 5 members for Mission Kashmir. Sunaina, Rajat, Fahim, Chaitra and me.
" Kashmir...........here we come." Sunaina said.
We laughed at her antics.
We all were scattered to different areas of the plane so that no one makes out that we are travelling together.
We reached within an hour and checked into the hotel.
Christian'sPOV-
Why the fuck is my staff so incompetent?
" Ms William, which part of ' cancel the deal' did you not understand?" I asked my assistant.
" Sir, I thought that it would be a great deal." She said seductively.
" You are fired." I barked.
" But sir...." She whined.
" Out of my premises right now." I ordered her.
She went away.
" Mrs Aston, hire a new assistant for me and clear off the salary of Ms William." I told her.
" Right away sir." She said.
Can't this fucking phone stop ringing for 2 minutes!!
" Grey." I said.
" Christian baby, let's go out for dinner today." The voice said.
" No Sofia, I am busy today." I told my girlfriend.
" Baby please...." She whined.
" Sofia, n-o means no." I shouted.
" Don't talk to me in that tone. I am not your emloyee." She said angrily.
" Don't you dare shout Sofia." The nerve of her.
I hung up.
I am literally surrounded by bunch of idiots. I don't know how I am running this multi-billion dollar company.
" Mr Grey, I have set appointments with some potential candidates as your assistant. Will you like to conduct the interview or shall I wind it up for you?" She asked politely.
" You do it for me. I have a meeting to head tomorrow." I told her.
She nodded and left.
There are only few people whom I can trust my work with and one of them is Mrs Aston.
" Sir, your sister is here. Shall I send her in?" The receptionist asked.
"Yes." I said and within a minute Mia was in.
" Hello brother." She greeted me.
" Hii Mia." I said.
" Why are you in a gloomy mood?" She asked me.
" Because of my incompetent staff." I said.
She rolled her eyes.
" Brother please, the way they deal with you is commendable. Atleast give some credit of the company's success to them." She said.
She was right but I'm not gonna accept it.
" What brings you here?" I asked her.
" To invite you for tomorrow's lunch. Great grandmother is also coming." She said.
And there goes in vain all my excuses to avoid the dinner.
I love great grandmaa a lot and want to meet her.
