Chapter-1

Radhika's POV

" Radhika, there is a letter for you. Come." Papa called me. I was in my room catching up with my beauty sleep.

" Papa you open the letter na. I am sleeping." I said shouting from the room.

" It's from BCCI." He said and these words were enough for me to jump out of the bed.

I ran straight to the living room. Actually I had applied for the job of manager in the women's National Cricket Team. I was hoping for a reply.

" Go ahead and open it." Papa said. I nodded.

I was just going to take out the letter out but the devil of my life ran to me and snatched the letter and ran.

" Mr Yash Sinhgania" I shouted at my best friend. Wait, when did he even get here?

" Why are you here?" I asked in a bored tone.

" Aunty called and asked to me to come here because she had cooked my favourite aloo ke parathe." He said shrugging his shoulders.

" Okay now give me my envelope." I ordered him.

" Not happening. I will open it. You are a bad news for yourself, If you open it, it may contain a rejection letter." He said as if it was nothing and the worst part is that this is true. Maa and papa just chuckled.

" Okay go ahead." I told him.

He opened it and had a funny look on his face.

" Yash I swear if you don't tell me what it is, I'll kill you with my empty hands." I tried to scare him.

" Radhika where did you apply?" Yash asked me.

" I applied in the Olympics committee as a Managing Director." I said sarcastically.

" What happened Yash beta?" Papa asked him seriously.

" Uncle she has been appointed as the manager in the Men's Indian Cricket Team." He said and I gasped.

" But I had applied for the women's team." I said.

" Beta read the letter." Maa told Yash.

He started reading,

" Papa, I swear I did not apply for the men's team." I said once the idiot had read the letter.

" No problem beta, look at the positive side. You will get a lot more exposure. And you can get autographs of the players for Yash and me." He said.

" For you I will bring, why should I get it for this idiot?" I asked him.

" Radhika, he is your best friend. Value him." Maa said.

" Learn something from aunty. You are lucky that you got such a good best friend." He said.

I just rolled my eyes.

" Yash have they fired you from the office?" I asked him.

" Madam, today is Saturday, so no office." He said.

" Yukta must be waiting for you. So now go to her." I said. Yukta is his girlfriend.

" Why are you so eager to get me out? I have told Yukta that I am spending my time with you today. I have been ignoring you a lot lately and I am guilty for that." He said.

I just smiled at him. However annoying he may be, his cuteness overshadows it all. I love him as a best friend.

" Fine, let's go out today if you are struck to me all day today." I suggested.

" There is a very good movie that is on the theatre. Let's watch it." He suggested.

" Okay. Wait, call Yukta there too. We will enjoy." I suggested.

" Are you sure?" He asked.

" Why will I not be dumbo?" I asked him and he went to call Yukta.

He called her. Within the next two hours, we met at Oberoi Mall. I have no hard feelings for her but I find her taste in dresses questionable. I mean who wears an ass hugging tight dress with no sleeves in a cinema hall? Whatever, let it be.

We watched Jumanji. Mostof the time they both were cuddling with each other. I guess it was not a very good idea to tag along with these two.

" Geez, get ourselves a room you two. I am not comfortable with all this PDA." I told them making a gross face. Both looked embarrassed. We then shopped.

After the movie, we dropped Yukta to her house  and started for my house where a were tasty dinner was waiting for us. We dug in and were finally satiated.

" Yash, your mom called up to say that you will be staying here because your parents have gone to Surat for some work. They will return tomorrow evening.

" So this means that we can finally catch up on each other's lives. We have met after 6 days.." I said. He just made a pocker face because he knew that there would be a full fledged interrogatory round that I will play with him.

He sighed and I smirked.
