Serpents & Crows

In the time of darkness and power, of all the supernatural entities that could possibly exist, there was only one that had no power nor strength, yet along an army.

Humans.

They lived in peace with werewolves and sirens after all other creatures neglected them for having no purpose. The cat-si's were their protectors. If any of the supernatural creatures even tried to hurt one human, cat-si's would prevent that by marking them with a tattoo of a serpent. A snake that follows it's prey until the night when they attack their target. Serpents were the allies of cat-si's but not of the humans. They hated them, but they did love killing them.

Serpent's were the demons, worst of them all, lurking from the underground and waiting for their pray. The only way they were allowed to be on earth was as any animal that belonged to the night, so they chose serpents, an allies of cat-si's.

The cat-si's, however, were not just any extra ordinary creatures, they were the gate between the underworld and Earth, the priestess' who fought against them and yet along side of them. They were divided between the three Covens ruled by one priestess, Samantha, who presented one of the Nine Realms to Supernatural Parliament.

When she saw the cat-si's could be allies to Supernatural Parliament and Enemies, she divided them into three Covens. The White Coven, was the ones who chose to help, protect and give birth to future generations to preserve the knowledge of spells and rituals from falling into the wrong hands. The Grey Coven, however, was the first to be created, they were non-categorized. From the Grey coven, white and shadow creature's were created, and the blade was the one who decided their fate after taking every test of all the spells, the blade which decided if they belonged to White Coven or the Shadow. The Shadow Coven, was the worst, at first they taught together, but when Shadow cat-si's proved to be unstable and disrespectful to the power they earned, she divided them into three schools, and the new name was given to cat-si's who later started living among humans.

They were called the witches.

Familiar to their nature as two sided creatures, witches were the only ones who could take a form of a cat, ravens, or a black panthers allowing them easily to get out of any situations and keep an eye on everything and everyone all the time.

Very soon, the Shadow witches wanted more power, so they stole the blade which had awakened the Serpents who were tricked into returning to underworld by White witches, guided by the power of Samantha. So, they made an alliance with them by giving them the human form which allowed the serpents to get into the homes of humans.

But there was one human, who wasn't like anybody else.

She was not of this world at all.

She sought help from Samantha for a shelter until her people were ready to take her home. Not, even the Nine Realms knew about her existence between them, not until that night when Serpents came into their homes and took her daughter away.

Angry and full of betrayal, Rhea Armani called upon the forces from her world to give her the power to return her child, because her child in the hands of evil, could only unleash the death upon every creature to exist in the entire world.

Rhea fought side by side with Samantha and other Eight Realms. The war was too great for humanity to survive, and only one coven was able to protect them. The White witches called upon the spirits of their ancestors to make every human being to forget about the world they used to know about. So the humans forgot, but they lived away from all the evil, only one Realm taken away from the rest of them.

The loss was too big to recover from, and by the time everything was over, only five Realms have survived.

Rhea found her child and went back to her world ready to forget everything, but before she had left, she gave Samantha the same blade that caused this wrath.

Samantha knew death was released into their world, and only one Realm could have their immortality which came with a cost. Their ability never to age was allowed, they lived for centuries in the darkness with the White witches who gave them the items to allow them to see the day. The Realm of Vampires was created. The Realm of Werewolves was saved, but barely so the witches gave them the ability to shape shift only during the full moon, the only night they could be free. The Realm of Sirens was forced to stay underwater, so the witches gave them the ability to walk on Earth only to reproduce and give birth.

The four fallen Realms were named by the four greatest creatures who went extinct in one night. The Muse's, creatures so beautiful beyond anything one could imagine who's voices were the weapon, they were also called the Banshees. The Arachnids, the Scorpio like creatures who's poison could kill not only by drinking or eating but also by touch, and voice. They were like a nightmare that fed on people's fears. The poisonous dream they were and the poison they remained.

The Kitsune Realm were a fox like creatures living alongside of Manticores who were the protectors of all the Nine Realms. They were the two most biggest and strongest warriors, each with a unique ability to do great things. They were most valuable, and appreciated.

Samantha wasn't happy with everything that has happened, furious with Shadow Coven she took all of their sacred items and hid them all over the world far from their reach which limited the spells they could use.

She knew the risk of the blade, living between them would bring more chaos because Shadow Coven will always want to take it from her. So she hid the blade with humans, in the National Museum of New York, and knowing the destruction it could bring upon the Earth, named the blade Lucifer's Blade.

"But of course, those are only the legends." I finish looking at the curious and scared faces of teenagers who were looking at the blade in such an awe.

This is why I love this job. It reminds me of all the history from the beginnings of the Earth and human race, and except letting me be a guide of those tours, they gave me the worst section. Legends and Myths. I hated it.

Looking at the watch on my hand, I see it is almost one o'clock meaning it's nearly time for lunch, meaning for me, my shift is finally over. From three am night shifts to one pm every day of the week, I somehow have only one day off, not to mention I am the only person who gives these tours because no body else wants or dares, because they are scared. Pussy's.

"Now, any questions before we finish off?" I ask on what everyone raises their hands. Great. I'm never getting out of here. "Stacey, yes." I say looking at my little sister who was so happy to be here with her class today.

"How do Crows have anything to do with the entire legend? The writing here says, Lucifer's Blade, Serpents & Crows. What does it mean?" I smile knowing she did the deep research last night about this. She was very fascinated by any fantasies concerning Kitsunes, werewolves and sirens especially.

"It means they are the only ones unaffected by the Blade. They can touch it without being cursed, but the power of a Blade in consuming and you have to be chosen to be able to hold the Blade." I say on what I look at my watch saying it's one. "Okay, I will answer one more questions and that would be all for the day. Yes? Great. You with beautiful red curly hair, what is your question?"

"Hi, Aidan, my name is Lila and I have a question for you?" Oh, boy not again. "Is it true that the Terminal Killer, who tried kidnapping Governor's daughter, is arrested because you intertwined when she started screaming for help?" And that was final point.

Everybody knew.

"Yes." I say on what kids raised their hands one more time when their teacher decided to cut in.

"Okay, kids that's it for the day, let's head out to grab some lunch now." He said and they ran momentarily. Once we were finally alone he turned to me. "You okay, Aidan?" Max asked and I nod.

"Yes, go and finish with them. We'll talk tonight yes?" I ask on what he smiles. Taking my hand and pulling me closer to him he kisses me the way only he knows.

"It's date. Wear something nice." He says as he walks away.

Once I am alone, I turn around as I thought I heard something. As my eyes fall onto the Lucifer's Blade I can't help but wonder what is it with everyone and why no body wants to do this section.

Putting the cover over the blade, I signal security to lock the door behind me and turn of the lights for the day.
